this product is exactly what I wanted for my cane
Great product, detailed instruction on care and maintenance for the brass one, even though I got the chrome which doesn’t require it due to not tarnishing. The can I’m Installing it on isn’t Finished yet, or I would include a picture

Best handle for a sturdy creation.
These heads with 1 1/4" oak dowels from home depot, torched to bring out the natural wood grain, stained and finished are legitimately the best, most durable things I‘ve been able to make. I am very rough on canes. Very. The head is joined at the place seen in the plcs. After the first one i used npt 1/4 pipe fittings to strengthen the neck, and melted some lead sinkers down into it to fill the head (?et cool gradually, quenching leaves it with a rattle) and a strengthened neck. Took 6 months, but the graphite in the packs of sinkers left weak spots. Lead in the head puts the center of gravity right where your grip is when playing ball with a dog, and allows you to stop a swing on a dime to keep from an accidental bonk. Highly recommended. Let y'all know how the new one goes. 😁

Pretty happy
Item quality is seems solid and came sooner than expected. The head opening is definitely smaller than I anticipated. I was planning to make a “walking stick” with a phenolic rod, so I’m a little concerned about the quality of the screws but we’ll see. For the price, I can’t really complain.

Quality of Brass Work
The quality of brass work is excellent. I used this brass hame for the handle of my walking stick. As you can see the hame is attached to a hard maple (acer saccharum) wooden stick with a 4mm brass pin and brass wood screw which is the traditional method of attachment on a draft horse collar. I finished the hard maple with Hope's 100% pure tung oil and added a United States Navy Eagle insignia.
