... of these I have purchased and I was so happy they still had it
This is the second one of these I have purchased and I was so happy they still had it. I bought the first one four years ago and it finally wore out. I have read some of the critical reviews and I really don’t understand them. I think it is well-made, sturdy and very water-resistant. I use it as my dialysis bag three days a week and it holds everything I need in just the right place. The main compartment holds a furry neck scarf, neck pillow, down throw and gallon plastic baggie with headphones, iPad charger and medication for dialysis. Two mesh side pockets hold a skinny thermos for early morning coffee, and a water bottle to take pills during dialysis. The back mesh pocket is flat and I wrap my iPad in a plastic bag to protect from the elements. The mesh pocket isn’t really isn’t designed for bulky things. I use the wheelchair straps for my manual wheelchair, so much better than a single strap. But I do use the single strap on my dialysis chair to keep the bag close by. There is also a handle strap at the top that comes in handy too. It may not suit everyone but for less than $28, I think it’s well worth the money. It meets my needs completely and I really hope they keep selling this particular bag.

Works well with iDrive Wheel Chairs - Makes routine trips easier
I bought this for my mom who had a stroke about 2 years ago. My dad was using something like a cloth shopping bag. This is big enough to hold all the things she wants. Now that she drinks thickened liquids, the bottle holders on each side ensure she always has enough with her to drink. This is really a perfect size -- even for one of the inexpensive iDrive wheelchairs. It doesn't touch or rub against the wheels. It slides on and off the handles easily when we load and unload her from the car. Things (like water bottles) no longer fall out and go rolling down the sloped driveway. Little additions like this make the care-giving routine easier and resolve a few petty annoyances related to mobility. The zipper had to be broken in by fully zipping and unzipping a few times (opening and closing) to get it to glide smoothly. That's not a complaint about the zipper -- merely an observation that it was stiff around the corners until worked few times.

reasonable product, some flaws
OK first the good news. The bag is made from good sturdy nylon; the same kind of stuff decent backpacks are made of. The straps are sturdy and fastened to the bag in a reasonable way. The couple of reviewers who claimed it was flimsy either had a different version of this bag, or were overstuffing it. There are two short loops on the top to hang over the canes of a manual wheelchair, and a strap to go around the backrest. On my wife's chair, I wish the loops were further toward the corners of the bag, and I wish the strap was lower, but y'know, one size fits all. The exterior pockets are quite useful. The bag isn't exactly stylish, but has a functional, purpose-built look, just like in the product photo. The size of the bag is a good compromise between interior space and exterior bulk. It's maybe a bit bigger than the space inside a conventional backpack. On the minus side, the bag hangs kinda low. It's hard for my wife to get her arms (which function normally) around to get stuff out of the bag, and impossible to unzip the zipper. With the zipper unzipped, the bag gaps open, losing the nice rectangular shape you see in the product photo. A bale or batten to stiffen the top of the bag would have been helpful. The zipper is hard to work and fabric tends to get caught in it. I wish the extra pockets were just a tiny bit bigger. This bag is way better than the recyclable grocery bag we were using before, It's decent value for money. There are a lot of ways to set up a wheelchair, and the design of the bag is a compromise. If you don't expect a custom fit, or you have a high-backed manual transfer chair (like a hospital chair), you'll be satisfied.

hard to place on wheelchair
I was excited when i received this pack and immediately TRIED to attach on my wheelchair. there were loops that looked like it would just be as easy as putting the loops onto the handles. It wasn't. As soon as i opened my chair, one of the loops broke off. There were no instructions on how this was to be placed so I guess the loops were not for this purpose. The straps were not helpful at all. It is sad that this didn't work out because the pack itself was absolutely fantastic. and big. It could hold all my stuff. So I was very disappointed in the failure to use the straps/loops to attach to my chair

Very Useful!
I got this for my Grandmother and it worked out well. Anytime she goes out she uses it. She can effectively fit her huge purse, bottles of water, magazines, snacks, glasses case... and more! This is a great bag that fits nicely, holds a lot and comes in handy. She uses it anytime she goes out and it helps with the needs of the person pushing the chair and the one in the chair.

Very handy
This works well with large and small wheelchairs. My mother-in-law is 4ft 9in and 90lbs so she has a very small chair and this product still fits perfectly. It's great for carrying extra clothing, Depends, Chucks as well as snacks, water, etc. Very sturdy too.

Sags and hard to use
Sags, nearly impossible to put things into the side pockets. I'd give it a minus 5 if I could. Once you put a few ounces of weight into the bag, the flimsy material hangs down. I thought maybe that my difficulties were just changing from another brand to this one and gave it two weeks to adjust to it, but the bag just kept getting worse and worse. A person needs two hands to put a small water bottle into the mesh side pockets or even a cell phone!

This product is nice and sturdy
I purchased this for my older sister who is confined to an electric wheelchair. This product is nice and sturdy. It is very difficult to find something that is enclosed and fits the back of a wheelchair. It is far to expensive but not finding an alternative, it was the only one available. The downside is that it does not fit all wheelchair backs. I needed to improvise a bit. Thanks to all the people who sent their reviews. I found it immensely helpful!

... Zipper on this pack is too small to be useful for the user
The Zipper on this pack is too small to be useful for the user. It is thusly very hard to access without taking the unit off the chair. This, too, is difficult when the pack has items in it. Perhaps using a larger zipper, like the ones on an Eddy Baur jacket would be easier to move.and having a more solid shape would make it easier to zip/unzip. Maybe it is time to create a product that the user can access rather that requiring helper to do it.
