( 2020~2021 Model ) but new Design !! perfect EXOS-X18- 18 TB ( ST18000NM000J-2TV103 18000.2 GB ) drive inside. you don't have to Shuk it to find out it's an EXOS drive... the External plastic is so open ventilated, you can see the exos label clearly !! iorny is 16TB X16 is 29K but 18TB is 28K !! The reason being this is one version less than the current STKP18000402 ( 2022 model )

Great for backup storage. Speed as usual as HDD over USB 3.0 It makes weird noises when placed in a wrong orientation, which possibly might damage it internally.

I got the one touch version and it was told its better than expansion but i feel not. The capacity of the drive is good. But thats the only positive. After starting the drive the disk tried to make the harsh rubbing sound. If you try to format or access data or do anything as it runs the sound of harsh thuds and rubs increases. I am trying to get it replaced but i don't have a option and i am very much sceptical on storing data as if it worsens and the arm fails to read all data is gone. Hence its kept empty as bought. No point of purchasing this product as 18tb is just laying around unusable due to this issue.

The drive didn’t work. Seagate asked me to contact Amazon and Amazon asked me to contact Seagate for the exchange. After going through what was an unnecessarily complicated, frustrating and bureaucratic process, I managed to return the drive for which I had to physically go to a Seagate service centre which was pretty far from my home. Now I’m waiting for a new drive. I’ve been told that it can take a couple of weeks. An email from Seagate says it can take upto 120 days. Is this what one deserves after paying 40k ?

Received already opened package, the hard disk did not even turn on. Had to call customer care to return.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden. Die Ware kam schnell zu mir. Der Start war sehr einfach und ich konnte gleich loslegen meine diversen Dateien darauf zu versammeln. Nur der Preis ist relativ hoch geworden, deshalb ist das der einzige Punkt einer geringen Kritik.

Este disco duro satisface lo que esperaba en cuanto a capacidad y velocidad. Lo recomiendo.

Works as advertised but does get quite hot while editing from disk

Data la grande capienza, sono riuscito a scaricare tutte le mie foto e video degli ultimi anni. Davvero un bel prodotto, anche molto bello.

18TBだからか、稼働音がして明らかに静音でない感じがします。 ウェスタンデジタルのelementsよりは少し静かですが、明らかに異音です。 レビューで皆さんがご指摘の通り、「静音」と商品タイトルに書かない方がいい感じです。 ヘリウム充填ディスクだから、仕方ない事なんでしょうか？ あと、稼働温度が怪しく、買った当初50度を超えてましたが、今は30度台に落ち着いています。 なぜだか分かりません。 23/5/24追記 応答が怪しくなってきたので、シーゲイトに問い合わせて、新品に交換してもらいました。 異音もしなくなって、応答に待たされることもなくなりました。 カスタマーセンターの対応も良かったため★５にします。
