children's book
Shog (dog) lives in the woods by a pond.He didnโt like the camels, fishes, birds, or the cows in the field.& the cat well does anything more need to be said.Shog decided to go shopping. So did the squirrels.Shog wants to make friends, but there are no dogs around.Piggle (pig) checked him out.Lilly (frog) watched as Shog tripped/fell in the pond.He lost all his groceries. What did Lily Frog & Piggle do for Shog?I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review. Only an honest one.A very awesome book cover, great colored pictures & proper font & writing style. A very well written childrenโs educational adventure story book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great childrenโs educational adventure movie, an animated cartoon, classroom PP presentation, or better yet a mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.Thank you for the free author; Red Beetle Books; Amazon Digital Services LLC.; bookTony Parsons MSW (Washburn)

Nice book
This book was a great book. It teaches kids well and adults too that to have friends they do not always have to be just like you. Dog thought he only wanted other dog friends but there were none where he lived. One day he goes shopping runs into all kinds of animals but no dogs. Dog I'd rude to others that are not dog's. Will dog ever learn? Read this book to find out.

A dogโs best friend is not necessarily another dog.
Shog the dog, is in a fog, because he is lonely and canโt understand why no one will visit him, despite the fact that he has a sign on his door that says only dogs are welcome. Unfortunately for Shog, no other dogs live in his neighborhood. His xenophobia causes him to rush through his day so he can minimize his interactions with other animals. As he rushes home, though, he breaks his leg. Another animal comes to his rescue, although Shog is reluctant to take his help at first. His pig and frog neighbors bring him food while he is recovering and they quickly become his friends. As you can probably guess, Shog changes the sign on his front door after that, and he is no longer a lonely dog.

A good lesson that many kids need to learn
Lisette Starrโs book about the dog Shog, illustrated by Gustyawan, is a delightful book written with child-friendly somewhat humorous poetry.Shog lived alone and was very lonely. This was because he had a sign on his door, โWelcome, Dogs Only.โWhen Shog was hurt, he realized his mistake, an error unfortunately many kids make.He put up a new sign.

Enchanting illustrations and a good change of heart
The author has quite the talent for rhyme and storytelling.I found the story a bit uncomfortable at first, when dog couldn't see the potential friends all around him. When he has no choice but to accept help, his heart and mind are opened and changed for the better. The friends do not hold Shog's actions and thoughts against him. He did not know any better. When he finally discovered that help comes in many forms his mind and heart are opened and changed for the better. The illustrations are enchanting.

APPEARANCES CAN BE DECEIVING
Shog is an introverted dog who has no friends. This situation is his own fault. Shog hangs a sign on his door that says only dogs are welcome. Frog and Piggy ignore his boorish behavior and try to be friendly, but Shog rebuffs them. When Shog has an unfortunate accident, he learns that it is no fun to be isolated. Having empathy for others is the way to gain true friendship and acceptance. This book contains cute illustrations and sweet rhymes. I would especially recommend it for preschoolers and primary grade readers.

Best Friends Forever ๐ ๐ ๐ธ
This book has a great moral. It shows in a fun way that the little ones can relate to and short enough they will not lose interest. The illustrations are whimsical and happy. Shog the ๐ was lonely but the sign on the door said, "Welcome, Dogs Only". He wanted a ๐ friend that would be around day after day. I don't like ๐ช or ๐ or ๐ฆ or ๐ or ๐ ๐. One sunny day. Shog went shopping. Piggie the Grocer thought Shog was strange, but he kept on smiling. He walked tearily home alone. What could he do different to find a friend? Does he already have some and just not realize it? You get to listen/read to find out what is going to happen next. Yeah!!

~~Love this~~~
Never too young to learn about diversity. The author has written this book for ages 3 to 8. It discusses love and friendship and in addition, diversity, prejudice and friendship.Shog, a dog, Lilly Frog and Piggle are the main characters. The lesson is for Shog as he wants to be friends with dogs. He soon learns that everyone can be a friend.Illustrations are extremely well done and one thing that I really love is that the text rhymes. I always think that rhyming enhances the learning for children. Most highly recommended.

Fantastic story with a lovely ending!
Loved the story and the characters in this book. Lilly frog has a mobile phone - that was so funny. The book is just so well written and it all rhymes with little hidden messages about kindness and feelings and change of feelings towards others. My little cousin loved the story. Also the colours in this book are lovely and bright and really stands out.

Good read for Toddlers
The book is about Shog the dog, who was feeling lonely and wandering to get friends who are dogs.He disapproved all other animals to be his friends. One fine day he was hurt and the frog helped him and the piggy took care with grocery and food items. Then Shog realized his mistakes and accepted his folly.
