Great recipes!
Since my kids are born we eat somehow healthy, at least to the best of my understanding. My kids are grown up and now I find out how bad wheat or cow milk is. Not just white flour, any wheat. I always had stomach problems, wonder if that's why? No problem,we just cut out all the bad food, but that means also to re-learn to cook. Not so much for me, but my husband. Eating for 50 + years the good American food, he was not willing to eat "nasty testing" health food and giving up the "good food". Not an easy task, he doesn't even like avocado. I researched for hours to find a good cookbook with recipes without refined sugar, wheat and cow milk. A book with recipes that makes healthy foods test good. Believe me, there are not that many out there.This book fits the bill, it has great recipes and even my husband loves the chocolate mousse with avocado...even better when you use it as a dip for your strawberries. Yes, healthy food can taste very good and so far we liked every recipe. They're unique and some I would have never even tried, like his Turkey Stew with cinnamon? Did not sound so good first, but you know what? It's amazing!The recipes are easy to make and you'll find the ingredients in most grocery stores. There are quite a few recipes that require a blender, like soups, Beverages etc. If you don't have one get one. I use a Vitamix which was sold with a recipe book. If not get this book, too. Even more recipes there and both books are like companions, they go well together and you'll have plenty recipes for a lifetime.

Love Dr. Axe!
I purchased the Real Food Diet and Burst Fit Fire at the same time. Backstory - I have not exercised in DECADES!!! Have eaten poorly my whole life. Health started going downhill 20 years ago. Didn't realize it at the time of course because it happened so slowly. With the combo of Burst Fit Fire and the Real Food Diet, I have lost over 10 pounds in 30 days and my allergies are clearing up, and I am feeling better than I have in years. The recipes are simple and delicious. I am so grateful to Dr. Axe for giving me the tools I need to get healthier and stronger. As a benefit, with no healthy habits for decades, with just 30 days, I've got biceps, the start of a six-pack, I have more energy than I've had in years and I'm feeling great! I've read reviews like these over the years, and trust me, I've tried them and been disappointed many times. But not this time. I've finally found what I need to get healthy, feel great, have energy and I have Dr. Axe to thank! Even if you have never cooked or exercised in your life, Dr. Axe is the way to go. He will get you on the right track and you won't be sorry!

Our go to cookbook
I absolutely love this cookbook. We picked it up maybe 2 years ago, and it is now my golden standard for cookbooks. Most of our go to recipes, both for when we are having company to when we just want something fast, come from this book. All are simple and tasty. Ingredients are easy to find. He does do this Bragg's Amino Acid thing - I just use Soy Sauce. He also avoids gluten so some recipes call for gluten free replacements - I just use whatever crackers or flour I have on hand. He also calls for Coconut Milk for many recipes, and since we cook so much from his cookbook I actually ended up no longer buying regular dairy milk and just buying coconut milk instead! (Trader Joe's has it in larger cartons that keep well in the fridge.)Really and honestly, I can't say enough about this book. It never fails me. He has some of the recipes from this book, as well as some additional ones, on his website, so you can always give one a try first. I wish he would come out with another book because I would love to have another cooking resource like this!

I like the whole foods idea
I like the whole foods idea, but it's really hard to afford the food sometimes. I'm on a rather tight budget and I want to get the coconut everything or the gluten free products to make in these meals, but the difference is $50 at the grocery store or $80 at the health market. I know more should be invested in healthy foods, but the trend is so hard considering companies know it's a specialty and charge you for it. The book has nice recipes and I would try quite a few...especially for how picky of an eater I am. The knowledge in the book is basically the same as others that are pushing a raw, whole food diet. Overall, I like Dr. Axe and his products. I would say it's a perfect book for the newbie to the whole food eating. Condensed and to the point.

There was a lot of good information in the front of the cookbook. A lot of the recipes were Asian inspired - stir fries, curries, fish and included coconut milk or coconut oil, which my husband does not like. I know you can replace those ingredients with other options, but then you are replacing a lot of the benefits/nutrients. I would be ok with most of the recipes, but they are not what my husband would care for. I paid over 70.00 for a new copy. Since I really couldn't make a lot of the recipes, or had to adjust them. I returned it.

practical easy real cancer diet
I love cooking and has no time. I have readed tons of recipes from different books, YouTube, blog , websites and magazines. I am so glad that I bough Dr. Axe's digital book from Amazon and then I decided to buy the printed book so I can make written note and leave on my kitchen counter. ( it is odd that printed book is only sold on. Dr. Josh Axe's website for now). The book has lots photo. The ingridents he used totally matched my research of cancer diet in the health news, magazine and webmd.very low starch, lots of nuts, coconut oil, raw or lightly cooked vegies , good fruit and no sugar) The recipes are practical for " real" people in real busy life now a day. It is so easy and tasty. I am thanksful to Dr. Axe

Such great information but all info found in the book is available on his website so not really a necessary purchas.

Easy to read
I love how easy this book is to read. The recipes are simple and delicious and Dr Ace is very down to earth in his approach. The only issue is the pictures and recipes don't quite line up in the ebook. Apart from that this is a winner

Great recipes . Recipes for vegans too which is great .Looking forward to his next recipe book if and when one comes out . I'll be purchasing it .

I love this book
I love this book. I am limited with what I can eat since I have celiac disorder. This recipe book gives me more options. and also insight into the food industry. Helps me to make better choices
