A Must Have
My son's favorite book. He loves Eric Carle's "A very hungry catipillar", this one is more advanced. He find it very funny.

Great Value for 3 full-sized stories
These are the full-sized stories--no shrinking of pages or pictures. We love all three stories. Even me 3-year old's attention is held for an entire story. You can plant a seed after reading "The Tiny Seed." And make some pancakes and pretzels after reading the other two stories. My husband and I were curious about the history of the pretzel after reading "Walter the Baker," so we did some research, and discovered that this is one theory, among many, as to how the pretzel was invented. Eric Carle draws out the elements that are in most of the theories, and throws in some of his own wonderfully entertaining details.

Great!
This a great collection. Who does not appreciate the writings of Eric Carle and the classic stories he writes? My students can not get enough of the stories and are always asking to read the stories.

Perfect for obsessed 3 y.o.
Our son, just turned 3, is a little bit obsessed by pancakes, so I bought this book specifically because of Pancakes, Pancakes, and because we've loved every Eric Carle book we've ever owned or borrowed from the library. Well, the pancakes tale is great, both with its earth-to-table story and its strong message of Jack helping his mom with all the steps to get from pancake-hankerin' to filling his belly, but our boy also loves the Tiny Seed story and the pretzel story (Walter the Baker). Home run!!
