Pricey but nice
Very nice quality deckle ruler. I wouldn't have paid this much if there were other options but for some reason this product is the only game in town. None of the art stores even sell deckle rulers. This ruler works well, gives the intended texture to cotton watercolor paper. My only complaint is that it is soooo expensive!! It's at least double what I would expect to reasonably pay.

One of a kind
I know it’s pricy, but it’s worth the money. There isn’t another one on the market like this, it’s thick and clear and double edged. I’m not an artist like many of the other purchasers, but I do a lot of bulletin boards decorating for clubs and other various crafting. It’s great for creating texture in a display! You can also use it on a print before you frame it to give it more of an authentic “original” vibe.

Amazing tool
This is one amazing ruler that works excellent on every paper I tried. The tear follows the ruler shape closely so you can keep the size of the final piece under full control. It is long enough for bigger size of paper and thick enough to work on heavier papers. Just pressed hard exactly at the place of tear and work slowly moving step by step. Every time you will have perfect edge! Amazing, thank you!!!

Great edge ripper
I had never used an edge ripper until my best friend told me about them. I decided to purchase this one after watching the videos online, tried it after receiving it and it works wonderfully. So easy to use and it looks great too.

Easier than a ruler and water
I usually make deckle edge paper from straight cuts by creasing the paper over a metal ruler, wetting the sides down with a brush, waiting a bit, and then slowly tearing. With this, you don't get that lovely feathery edge, but that can be achieved quickly afterwards with a serrated edge of some kind like a scotch tape dispenser. Without having to crease the paper or wet it down, I was able to rip a 10" piece of paper in seconds all the way around. The only thing I wish there was more of was irregularities. At a glance, it is very symmetrical as far as the tear looks, but it saves me money from having to buy the pre-made deckle edge handmade paper for my watercolors.

classic, great for printmaking and bookmaking
Great quality. We have one at the studio, used for years. I just HAD to get one for my home art projects. Works well, and lasts!

Great way to finish off watercolor paintings
I like the look of deckle edge on watercolor paper. This longer edge makes it easy to tear the edge! It gives a professional look to the finished painting. The higher grade papers are a little hard to tear, but with some effort I found my own process for it. I definitely recommend the deckle edge ripper!

Good for decle edge stationary
Perfect tool to make decle edge wedding stationary. Kind of expensive but does it’s job well. With this, I was able to do bespoke invitations on a DIY budget, even after factoring the cost of this tool.
