BRAVE JR. NOVEL Paperback – May 15, 2012

This is likely my favorite animated movie. I was very surprised how similar the book and the movie are. It's a very enjoyable read.

My daughter was so looking forward to the movie so I bought the book for her, as well, for her birthday.The movie was a bit scary for her (she was 7 when she saw it). It was visually stunning for me, as an adult, but the imagery and the theme, taken together, was a bit too much for my daughter.That said, the book was terrific. She read it over and over and even illustrated her own interpretation of the story (much less scary that than the movie's interpretation).I'm glad that I bought it - and more importantly, so is she!

Enjoyed reading the thoughts of Meredith and her mother, making the relationship between them come alive and seem real, adding something different to the movie.

I may be an adult, but I loved this movie so much that not only have I bought the soundtrack and trying to get a digital copy on iTunes, but I also bought this for my Kindle. It may be a book for kids, but I loved it so much and I can barely put it down. I haven't seen the movie in so long and the book made my memory of the movie better than I remembered it to be. For anyone who loves this film, child or not, I would recommend this!

I purchased this book for my 8yr old daughter. She read the book from beginning to end in a matter of days (Would have been hours if I would have let her). She absolutely LOVED the book. She would read parts to me, adding the accents she remembered from the movie, and relive all the details and action of the movie in her head.The book has held up being owned by an 8yr old. The cover has a great image that made receiving the book, as a stocking stuffer, exciting. She has already re-read it several times.

I Had Some Pages that was bent and stained looks like i got a used one i thougt i brought this book brand new not used with best pages and stains

Working to transition our toddle from stories exclusively with illustrations longer, chapter books without them. This has done the trick. She sits and listens carefully to each page and chapter and loves coming back to it night after night as we work our way towards the end.

My 5 year old is a pretty strong reader. She wanted a book on Brave but I wanted something slightly more challenging than the numerous picture books they have out. This book was PERFECT for her. It kept her interest and compelled her to finish each chapter. She loved it and I was pleased with the writing in the book. It had just enough new vocabulary words to keep her interested without becoming overwhelming for her.
