Husband loved
Got this for my husband because he has an ocarina he loves it. It has a great selection of songs to choose from.

Good quality. Songs are easy to read, easy to play.
This is a small booklet, but it has the songs it says it does. It is of very good quality. The songs are easy to read. It shows the songs in Ocarina notation. It does not have standard music score to go with it, which would be nice, but then it does not say it does so I can't ding it for that. You do not need to know how to read music to use these. If you have some basic music training and at lease know what a C major scale is, it helps a lot to learn and play the ocarina, but as I said that is not necessary to use this book to play all of the songs in it.

Lacks Actual Notes To Read
This book has a decent selection of songs from various anime but that's about it's best feature. I do realize that not everyone is able to read sheet music but, failing to include even the option to read notes on a staff makes it much harder to understand both which notes you are meant to play and the timing of those notes. It claims that the spacing between the finger hole diagrams is meant to indicate how long to hold a note or wait to play the next but, unless you know the song by heart, it's difficult to guess the timing in the song.Only seeing the finger hole diagrams to indicate notes can also make it hard to switch to the next note if there is a difference of only one finger hole because you can't always tell you need to switch. If there were a music staff above to indicate a different note, it would be much easier to read. The Zelda songbook that came with the ocarina I bought, has both finger hole diagrams and a music staff above. I was able to start playing the songs in that book practically right away.In conclusion, if you can read music on a staff then I would recommend you find another anime songbook if possible and make sure it includes a staff. If you can't read music then it's possible you'll be able to get by with the diagrams but, as I've said, it can be confusing to tell which notes you need to play and the timing you'll need to play them.

Good book for anime fans!
Ended up returning I guess I'm not as much of anime need as I thought because I didn't know many of the songs. The book is small but is printed well and has tabs which makes them easy to learn but didn't really have a a lot of songs I wanted to learn

More like a Pamphlet than a Book.
The book is flimsy, and thin, so it can be easily damaged. Also, If want actual sheet music, this is not it.What you get are ocarina tabs for each song. So, if you are familiar with each songs tempo, you can still learn how to play. If not, I’d look up tutorials online for the songs to make it easier to learn. It does tell you what each note on the ocarina is and a scale to practice. The collection of songs are pretty great. Here’s the list of Anime Songs:Dragon Ball Z- Chala Head ChalaNaruto- Blue BirdFruits Basket- Memory ThemeSailor Moon- Main ThemeNaruto- Sadness and SorrowRurouni Kensington- DepartureSailor Moon- Alan’s Flute SongRurouni Kenshin- Kenshin’s ThemeSpirited Away (film)- Always with mePonyo (film)- Main ThemeSoul Eater- Selenic SoulMy Neighbor TOTORO (film)- Main ThemeBleach- Alones (intro)Full Metal Alchemist- BrothersElfen Lied- LiliumCowboy Behop- Green BirdInuyasha- Soul Piper SongFruits Basket- Main ThemePokémon 2000- Lugia’s ThemeInuyasha- Fate of Awakening LoveEscaflowne- Sora’s ThemeCardcaptor Sakura- Tomoyo’s SongDeath Note- L’s ThemeNeon Genesis Evangelion- Cruel Angels Thesis (intro)One Piece- Akiisu’s Music BoxNaruto- LonelinessClannad- Dango Daikozoku (ending theme)Dragon Ball Z- Tapion’s ThemePokémon - Jigglypuff’s LullabyFairy Tale- Happy’s ThemeFairy Tale- Main ThemeOne Piece- Bank’s SakeMacross Frontier- Nyan Nyan Song

Great! Even for a Beginner Like Me.
I'm just starting out with an ocarina, and of course if you're going to play, you need to know songs. What better songs than all the anime classics (even new classics) (I also ordered the 12-Hole Zelda Song Book - which is also great.)The book is very comprehensive and I had no problems just jumping into it. :)I also love how it very easily sits flat so I can read an play at the same time without having to use paper weights.

Easy to use
Easy to use, many songs were familiar, a good product if you're not super musically inclined and have trouble identifying notes by ear.

Great song books
I ordered this song book along with 2 others and I think they're great. Good songs and easy to read. It's definitely going to take me a while to be able to learn some of these songs as I'm a first time ocarina player and I'm not very musically inclined but, with these song books along with some practice I'm sure I'll have it down in no time.
