Not safe for birds
So I have a small pond mainly for the sound and relaxing. I still need to maintain it to keep it clean. It's alot of work to drain it and refill. I don't have fish but it always attracts birds and wildlife. I put the pellets in. It did stay fresh and clear. Since treating the water, not a sound nothing. Not a bird or any animal will go near it. It never claimed to be harmless to birds. I clearly assumed if fish can manage to thrive. It would not harm any animlas. WRONG.

Did the Job - Cleaned out the Muck
I bought this for my small pond/water fountain feature that holds about 100 gallons. I used one tablet each month this spring and summer and it did a good job reducing the debris and muck in the fountain. The water generally gets leaf and other plant debris in it which causes all kinds of muck to grow. These tablets cleared most of that up.

It Just Works!
I've tried other items to keep my pond clear, but this year has been especially difficult to keep the algae out. It isn't all gone, but at least now I can see my fish in the pond. I've tried a lot of other products which was not nearly as effective and usually cost more. I am a repeat buyer, which means I believe in a product.

It takes awhile to work, but the results were amazing!
We "inherited" a pond when we bought our house and we know nothing about caring for one....after three Midwestern winters of not adding in any products, the water was incredibly murky....We emptied most of the pond, added fresh water, and the water quality did not get better....We purchased this product - the tablets are remarkably small - and added in the recommended amount....amazing how clear the water is after a several days....this product works!!!

Completely Worthless
I really wanted this product to work. I used it in my pond a few times (following the manufacturer's directions), but I couldn't see a difference, so I decided to run a little experiment. I scooped up a mixture of about half muck and half water from the bottom of my pond and put it in a one gallon container beside the pond. I put in one tablet (which is 166 times the recommended strength) and waited two weeks. After two weeks, there was no difference. There was the same amount of muck in the container, but algae had also started to grow up the side of the container. So, it didn't work at all -- even when using over 100 times the recommended concentration.
