Wow, what I was missing all these years!
I had a Sunbeam stand mixer for years...hello! What a treat this machine is for me now. I found it doesn't spatter everywhere...who knew! The deep bowl really makes a difference, I could be wrong, but don't think the KA PRO model goes this high in the up position. Plus there is a spatter guard, but most mixing is done on speed 2 for me. Youtube has great videos on this machine, with a Australian woman.I did research and I found many tips on care and maintenance. One was if you don't run your machine every week, the oil may cease up in it, so give it a run every week even if the bowl is empty and not in real use. There is no way I am storing this beautiful coloured mixer in a cabinet, or covering it up, let it shine! Pretty chartreuse green, not the apple green for me, it truly is the colour of a pear.I bought a few accessories for it, again after doing research. Amazon.ca had the best price around on this machine. I love the fast Prime 2 day shipping! Yay!

Great machine at a reasonable price.
This is a great machine which saves us so much time when making baked goods, dough for pies, pasta, pizza and cookie dough. The machine also helps us whip great mashed potatoes and mashed vegetables. The Amazon price for the mixer was very good compared to competitors prices for the same article.

State of the art appliance.
Oh my... what a beautiful appliance. When I moved to New York 5 years ago I had to adjust my budget while buying all the basics for an empty apartment and obviously a $300 mixer did not fit in the bill. I bought a hand mixer and after two years of sore arms and not quite perfect recipes, my love gave me this beauty as a gift... and I never looked back! KitchenAid created perfection: the mixer is extremely durable, professional grade and yet absolutely gorgeous. It gets anything done quickly and the clean-up is just as simple, with easily detachable parts. Speaking of which, the attachments are amazing. They can turn the mixer in a pasta machine, juicer, food mill, ice cream maker... I was hesitant to buy it at first because my kitchen is fairly small and it would occupy too much space on my counter, since it's quite heavy, it's recommended to keep it there so it doesn't have to be moved often. However, the mixer is so versatile that it gets used very quite often. I love this mixer, I highly recommended for all cooks: beginners to advance.
