APEX Action Figure Display Case by SMALLJOES.COM, LLC

I was referred to this product by an acquaintance. Given our separate experiences with this product (and vendor), and with the obvious caveat of small sample size, I would guess that this product is likely not to arrive in mint/perfect condition for most buyers, so adjust your expectations accordingly. (I think had I not expected this item to be perfect, I would have been very satisfied upon receipt of the case.)My acquaintance's product had a crack -- and after reading someone else's review, it sounds like they also received one with a crack. Though free of cracks, my item had plastic flashing on one side and, what was the the most detracting feature, were areas that resembled abrasion marks. I am fairly certain, however, that these marks are actually from the molding process due to their appearance (e.g., no apparent surface abrasion though there's evident delamination on one surface, stringing on the top, and as previously mentioned flow marks on several surfaces). Unfortunately, these flow marks are on both of the front-facing sides, which made it a challenge to select which side would actually face out. If it weren't for the aesthetic imperfections, this would be a very nice case, especially given the price. The dimensions are nice and make for a fairly versatile case.After inquiring whether any better cases were in stock, I was only given the option of a return. Given the expense of shipping and return shipping, which for me would have equaled nearly 80% of the item's purchase price, I elected to keep the product despite its physical defects so that I would have something to show for the transaction.

The display case is great; it's exactly what I was looking for. I collect video game and anime figures, and it can hold a good number of my small- and medium-sized ones. The case itself is sturdy and not difficult to open. There are some minor manufacturing imperfections such as some white-ish streaks of discoloration (not noticeable unless you're close-up) as well as a black spot and an air bubble trapped in the case.Each case came in a cardboard box labeled "fragile" and was padded on all six sides by block foam about 18mm thick. The foam packaging could probably be thicker, as one of my cases (I bought two) has a small non-penetrating crack in a corner. However, the case is intact and I just have it displayed so the crack is facing the wall.My figure collection is growing, and I may very likely order more of these. Two things would be nice: (1) if the foam padding were thickened, even if delivery prices increased a bit and (2) if there was a taller version of the case so that I could fit larger figures on all three tiers.

It's a little clumsy to open. I glued down the bottom, then it's easier to remove the top. Overall, it gets the job down; but it does have a lot scratches, mine even has a crack, but since it's only a cosmetic thing, I decided to keep it. After reading other reviews, I'm guessing even if I order a replafement, it's probably gonna have similar inpefections. price wise, after searching all over the Internet, I think for a brand new display case this size, this price offered here is pretty good. It's nice case as well despite some little imperfections

The item was received very quickly and well packed, however there was a crack in one of the corners. I didn't bother to report or return because it was placed to the back and not very visible to most. This is the second case I purchased and for the money it's a great value, would have given 5 stars but there was a crack as mentioned above.

Can anyone tell me what the approximate dimensions are for this case?? You can't tell from the pictures, and the description doesn't give a clue. Thanks!UPDATE 8-8-10FYI... I did go ahead and order it (assuming that they were 6 inch figures would make it at least 13 inches tall)... wrong... the figures in the pictures can not be any taller than 4 inches tall. The display is 10" tall, 15" wide and 11" deep. It is not very sturdy, and it arrived with a few scratches. It would be fine for a childs room (as long as the child did not play with it, because it would scratch easily and probably crack) So my rating stays the same.

Loved it. You can fit 8inch and 10 inch action figures if you take the steps off.

I guess their packing has gotten better because it came prefect! Great display for small figures for not only G.I. Joes but also Funko Pops and smaller anime figures.

Nice size for mini collectibles. Sturdy but light.
