It helps keep water out of the battery compartment. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 雪山用に購入 / 結構使えそう *by on Reviewed in Japan 4 January 2024* 雪山での行動中の気温を知りたくてこれまでいくつかの温度計を使ってきたけれど、見づらかったり精度がよくなかったりとどれも今一つだった。そこそこ使えそうなデジタル式の携帯型温度計も低いほうは-10℃までだったのであれこれ探していたところ、-30℃まで動作すると記載があるこの温度計を見つけて購入。で、さっそく自宅の冷蔵庫の冷凍室(-20℃前後で数℃変動)でおよそ12時間の動作確認。2台のセンサー分離型の温度計と1台のアナログ温度計、冷蔵庫本体の温度表示との比較で表示の差は±1度程度に収まっていた。-20℃では電源ボタンの操作に対して表示のON/OFF反応が遅くなるけれど表示が見づらくなることもない。製品のパッケージの説明には精度は±2℃と記載されているので、私が使いたい温度付近では仕様通りの性能であることを確認できました。小さくて操作は簡単、表示も見やすくてこれは本番での使用が楽しみです。高温側の動作温度は製品パッケージに記載がありませんが、amazonの商品説明では+54℃。まぁ、製品パッケージにスノースポーツ、寒い気候でのアクティビティ用と記載されていますし、熱中症対策の携帯型温度計(湿度計付)は他のメーカーからいくつも出ているの冬と夏とで使い分けようと思います。 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Très pratique et versatile *by on Reviewed in Canada 9 December 2021* Ce petit thermomètre est facile à utiliser. I valori delle temperature misurate sono corrette ed allineate con gli altri termometri in mio possesso. Inoltre ho inserito il termometro, dopo averlo protetto con una bustina di celofan, in acqua e ghiaccio per qualche minuto ed il valore evidenziato è stato di 0°C che è la temperatura di passaggio dell'acqua dallo stato liquido a quello solido. Quindi questo termometro è perfettamente tarato.
