The Death of James Dean

The Best Book on the Accident
This is beyond any doubt the best book on the accident that killed James Dean: there are a number of myths dispelled and I certainly learned a lot about James Dean I never had from any other book. Absolutely riveting stuff. After all that can be said on Dean's death is said the book changes tack completely to an account of those still facinated by him; they should be separate books. Brilliant book but you might not finish it...

Misleading Product Description
Unlike I was lead to believe by the picture of the book, there was no dustcover with the book. The book was also in mediocre condition, and not "very good", as I was mislead by the original product description. Overall the book was worth £3 - £4 and not well over £10, so overall NOT IMPRESSED.

A book of two halves...
I bought this book as a James Dean fan to try and get a better understanding of the circumstances that led to his tragic death at 24. The book is well written and the first section is informative and respectful to all parties involved on 30 September 1955. Alas, the book starts to run out of steam towards the end and drifts off into complete waffle and becomes a real bore. Still it is worth buying.

MY Jimmy Dean
This is a great book to have if you're a JD fan as I am. Not the best JD book I've read, but great insight to his last days, though as we know now, Jimmy wasn't speeding in his car when he had the fateful crash.
