I've been using this particular chili powder for years and everyone loves my homemade chili con carne. I add 1/4 cup to a 7 quart pot. It is very flavorful, but on the mild side. I kick it up with a few dried ghost peppers from my garden. Don't worry about buying a whole pound, it gets used up quickly if you make a lot of chili. I like that it's all organic.

This stuff is great- used it in a soup the same day it arrived. Minus 1 star because the packaging would be so much better if it was resealable.

Great organic chili powder, without added salt. At first it did not taste as flavorful as I expected, so started adding salt using a salt grinder in steps until the flavors really bloomed! I would much rather add salt to suit my taste, versus having too much salt included in a spice that I cannot remove. This is now my favorite spice, great on firm tofu, rice and beans, chicken too! I add it at the end of the cooking, so the flavors bloom in the hot oil used for cooking the tofu or chicken, without cooking the spices.
