Easy to Use & Perfect for Parmesan!
I love this OXO Good Grips Rotary Grater! It’s well-designed, easy to use, and makes grating parmesan cheese a breeze. The handle is comfortable to hold, and the grater works smoothly without requiring a lot of effort. The stainless steel drum is sharp and shreds cheese quickly, whether it's Parmesan or chocolate for desserts.Cleanup is simple since it comes apart easily and is dishwasher-safe. Plus, the build quality feels solid, so I expect it to last a long time. If you love freshly grated cheese and want something more efficient than a box grater, this is a must-have for your kitchen! Highly recommend!

NICE PRODUCT
Excellent grater for grating hard medium to hard cheeses (pecorino, parm/reggianno, favia, etc. Not so good for soft cheeses. Breaks down simply for cleaning (3 pieces) and re-assembles easily. Would have liked 1-2 more stainless barrels for different shavings, but it only comes with one (fine). I do like the simplicity of the product, ease of use, and the construction is quality made.

Another excellent product from a superior company
My kitchen is full of Oxo products. All of them are well-designed and extremely functional--but I return to this company time and time again because their customer support is equally impressive. I stupidly lost the small plastic cap that closes off the collection chamber where the grated cheese falls, so I emailed Oxo to inquire about how I might purchase a replacement part. Amazingly, they just shipped me an entire new grater free of charge--despite me making it clear that this was my fault and not a warranty issue. That's why I always choose an Oxo product if possible. They really endeavor to wow their customers. This grater is very easy to use and clean. It's a cinch to assemble and operate, and it breaks down very quickly for washing. I only grate hard cheese, so soap is usually unnecessary. Hit it with hot water from your kitchen sink sprayer and you're good to go. Grate size is small enough that you can easily dispense the grated cheese from a shaker bottle designed for spices. Since the collection chamber mostly air-tight with the cap installed, you could also just leave the unused portion of grated cheese in the grater and stick the whole thing in the refrigerator. It doesn't take a lot of strength to grate hard parmesan, and the circular grating surface makes short work of the job. Fill the top chamber twice and you'll easily have enough grated cheese to fill a 6-ounce shaker bottle. The design is very simple, and there are no small parts to worry about (unless you brain cramp to the extent I did). Like all of my other Oxo products, this one is easy to recommend. Thank you, Oxo support.

Very fluffy, fine grate
Have only had the product for a short time (about 2 weeks) during which I've used it to grate Parmesan, Romano, Gruyere, and Cheddar. The grater produces a very fluffy fine grate, like riced potato in appearance. If you prefer a coarser grate like coconut flakes you need larger holes like those on a box grater or food processor. However, if you hate scraping your knuckles on a box grater and adding your DNA tissue/blood samples to whatever dish you're making, you're better off using the OXO grater. Love the fine, fluffy consistency of cheese flake it produces quickly and without waste or need to dirty a food processor. It's very easy to use although it seems quite fragile and lightweight ergo only 4 stars. The grating barrel is a very thin stainless but everything else is plastic. Looked at other rotary graters that were all stainless, very expensive, and all made in China. It also comes with a plastic cap for the open end of the grating barrel to store away in the fridge? Seriously? Not if you use it frequently and on various cheeses. Why have to deal with dried, stuck on cheese? I just wash it after use and jar the extra leftover cheese. Figured if I need a grater and they're all made in China anyway, might as well go with the OXO. So far it's held up, but it's only been 2 weeks.

Grates hard cheese - like Parmesan - quite easily
Grates hard cheese easily and designed in a way that the cheese doesn’t slide down under wheel when getting thin. I love all of my OXO brand kitchen helpers

The grater is good, but don't the the avocado slicer
The grater is good product. It's easy to use and it's easy to clean under the sink. Whenever I use it I feel like I'm a waiter at an Italian restaurant. Regarding the compartment, I don't really use it to store grated cheese, as I don't eat pasta frequently enough to warrant storing any cheese. Now, the avocado slicer is a bad product IMO. The pit remover is messy, using it will get avocado everywhere over the slicer. The knife part is fine, but any knife would do the same job. The slicer end is awkward to use as there's no good way of grabbing the tool without getting cut by the knife getting avocado all over your hands.Just get the standalone cheese grater. You're welcome.

Nice basic cheese grater
If you just want a basic grater and are fine with just one size of shred, this is great. Better for my wrist then using a zester.

A great way to grate fresh Parmesan on pasta!
I love fresh grated cheese over my pasta and this little grater is great! The side flexible wings on the plunger part, makes even easier to use.
