¡Three Amigos!

My adult son who has special needs loves this movie. Because he is not gentle with DVDs, he has owned many copies of "Three Amigos." It is a fun movie to watch, and I am pleased to still be able to purchase it, especially at a low price.

I grew up on this movie and it never gets old, no matter how many times I watch it. I bought this as a White Elephant gift and included bottles of Jack Daniels, Jim Bean and Jose Cuervo (get it?!?) ... it was a huge hit and was stolen multiple times.

What is not to like about this hilarious movie. I have loved it since I was younger and now it's even funnier because I get all the jokes.

Not as funny as when I saw it at the cinema BUT there is no denying Steve Martin; Chevvy Chase and Martin Short are absolutely at their best in this movie. Some of the gags now fall a little flat and the scene with the singing bush is just bewildering. However, still a great movie if only in parts.

I bought this to show my teenage children because I have such fond memories of the film (which doesn't seem to get featured on TV much if at all). It is something of a hidden classic, I think. The opening scenes in Hollywood are a bit long, but once the action moves to Mexico it is great fun from start to finish. It is basically a spoof of The Magnificent Seven with some great jokes.

The Three Amigos is a really good film, Not exactly in the artistic sense but in the sense that it makes you laugh, a lot, and it even sends over a couple of value messages. These three guys come to a Mexican village, thinking that they're going to give a couple of shows, not realizing that the baddies are for real this time. Each actor has his own personality and special kind of wit, which actually helps win the day, in the end, after many "surprises". I think that if you like comedy, this is for you.
