Video Signaling Issues at 4K - Overheats
This switch would be very nice if it worked. The form factor, price and features are all there for a great product. Unfortunately, the end results leaves much to be desired. I needed a HDMI 2.0b switch with audio extractor feature since the PS5 and XBOX Series X don’t provide a toslink audio port. Using a switch with audio extraction allows you to attach an older AV receiver to the new consoles via the spdif/toslink cable.1) The switch has major video synching issues, causing garbled video output and outright complete signal loss2) After a few days of usage the switch died completely allowing for no HDMI 2.0b 4K to transfer from a Roku ultra, PS5, XBOX Series X, PS4 or XBOX One X. I used 6 different cables to confirm that it was not a faulty cable. All consoles worked perfectly fine when directly connected with the same cables. 3 of the cables were fiber optic hdmi 2.0b cables from 3 separate manufacturers. All 3 exhibited major video signaling issues. Standard HDMI 2.0b cables have the same issues so it’s clear the device is at fault.3) Product became extremely hot after a few hours of usage4) Remote control is to the point but switching took several seconds.5) When it worked, the device would lock up and has to be power cycled to work until it completely failed. This device would be a fantastic product if it just worked. It is really disappointing as the form factor is nice. There are a lot of different versions of this same device on amazon, they all appear to be made by the same manufacturer but just slightly rebranded. I would anticipate that all of these rebranded devices have similar signaling and overheating issues.

Running Hdmi cable to pc video card was showing white lines flashing up and down on my projector screen, but when connected to my roku it showed no flashing white lines.
