This is a great snack toy to bring on an outing, where you'll need your puppy to have something to do.My 6 month old puppy is pretty good when we go to pubs (outside), but she gets restless fast & wants to engage with her entire environment. Regular food or treats won't keep her attention, even bully sticks sometimes won't do. But this cheese puff is amazing! She absolutely loves it, and it takes a while to gnaw the cheese puff out of the plastic holder.Plastic seems very durable, she chews it (but she's not a super-chewer). The use is very simple. One thing I'd advise: once you take it out of the microwave, put it somewhere the dog isn't - the smell drives my dog crazy.My dog is about 24lb, small-ish, and the toy is a good size for her. She did not react poorly to eating the cheese cube (she doesn't normally get cheese, but she does gnaw on the larger yak cheese sticks). I do not giver her more than 1 week, maybe 2 (I have other distraction toys too).One thing to consider: you'll have to buy refills (but not too expensive)

We are so happy we found these. We have A great Dane and a border collie mix. They both enjoy these. You just stick the yak cheese inside microwave it let it cool and then give it to your dog. You do need to use the bite size ones because of you larger ones it the cheese will expand too big and crack the Yeti.

I was excited to try this product as my dog loves yak cheese and I thought this would prolong the cheese. It took nearly a week to arrive. Tried it one time following the directions exactly and gave it to my dog when it was cool. When he was done I picked back up to discover it had burned inside the microwave! The outside is melted and the inside is melted as well meaning my dog likely swallowed bits of this material. He vomited soon afterwards but seems fine now. Not pleased at all. Poor product and potentially dangerous, really disappointed.

I didn't notice this item was not returnable. This toy did not appear as hardy as expected for my GSD/Pyr mix and I did not open the box or use it. The company was easy to work with, however, and I am editing my review to add more stars. I think the toy would be good for a small dog who is not a voracious chewer.

Great alternative to Kong. Makes a light crunchy Yak milk treat that my dog loves and which is not messy like peanut butter or squeeze cheese. Won't get all over furniture while dog plays with it. If it does - it's crumbs you can vacuum up.Put treat in belly of toy Yak. Microwave toy for 1 minute (treat puffs up in size to fill hole in belly of toy). I like to put in freezer for 2 minutes after microwaving it bc the treat can be quite warm. He loves it! He gets healthy crunchy treat, a puzzle, and chew toy.Everytime I ask if he wants his "Yeti" (his first toy was a Yeti when we reordered we got this one - a Yak, but same great company!) he comes running. He is a chewer and his first toy survived his big chew years - age 4mos to age 2 before he finally chewed through the bottom part. We were very happy with the quality so we reordered. We got the Yak this time because he seems to like orange toys better.For reference our dog is a 70lb Catahoula Leopard dog and a good chewer so this toy does take a beating. Ours has learned that if you drop it from a height it loosens the treat - so is gentler on it now than he was at age 6mos, but still gives it some punishment. It is sturdy. Fun toy for dogs who like to chew.

3 month review update: my dogs loved these but one caught on fire in the microwave and absolutely billowed smoke throughout the house. It never happened with any others so maybe it was a sensitive Himalayan bite but the toy was burnt and smelled awful and I had to throw it away. Now I don’t have enough for my dogs. Use caution.I was hesitant to buy this for a couple reasons including not being sure how durable they are for my strong dogs, and not being sure how their stomachs would handle this type of treat as they’d never had it. Well im pleasantly surprised as they loved them! The material is very thick and durable and none of my 65+ dogs were able to damage it at all and none of them had upset stomachs afterward! I wish the pieces of chew were just *slightly* larger as to fill the hole a bit better but i guess it being more difficult makes the dogs have to spend more time doing it! One my dogs struggled quite a bit to get to the treat section as it was pretty far inside the toy and that did lead to her chewing on the rubber part more than necessary but once she was able to get it, she stopped. Happy w my purchase!

My six month old doodle girl and I LOVE this thing. So I bought hers about four months ago. We use it EVERY DAY. Like, after dinner, every day, IlI put the nugget in it, heat it up for one minute and she sits there, kind of patiently, waiting for it. She, of course, doesn’t understand that Irma too hot, so I tell her constantly that it’s too hot, while I blow on it until I almost pass out. Sometimes, I throw it in the freezer for a minute to cook it down, at which point, she sits there looking at the freezer longingly. She knows what time it is when she hears the microwave. When it’s cool enough, I give it to her and she happily munches for 20-30 minutes until it’s all gone. Except for the millions of crumbs she gets everywhere that I then have to vacuum, but, I digress. The things we do for our dogs, right? Anyway, she loves hers so much that I bought one for a friend at work, and her three cousins. I get them for anyone who has a dog that it’s not weird to buy stuff for. It’s held up great; it looks brand new. Get it. Your pup will thank you.

The toy is super cute, and durable, even for my power chewer, however, when the toy was put in the microwave, it sparked and my microwave made a horrific sound. It behaved like someone had put a metal utensil or aluminum foil in the microwave. It freaked me out and left the microwave smelling terrible. I tried it again a couple of months later and got the same result. We tried microwaving just the treat in a paper bowl and didn’t have any issues. So, the toy just won’t go in the microwave again.

can't see how to buy more chews to stick in the toy my girls love this and we need more chews please seem the only ones available are long not short

Within 5mins of giving this to my small dog he had chewed off bits of plastic from the foot of the yeti. It’s not a robust toy & may harm a dog if they bite off a chunk of the plastic to then ingest it. I wouldn’t recommend this for any dog.

Le jouet c'est brisé après seulement la 3e utilisation au micro-onde même si mit seulement 45 sec au lieu de 60sec. le fabricant m'en a retourner un nouveau, même chose utilise 4e et il a fendu en dessus encore.... vraiment pas durable !!
