Buy atleast 6 inches more than your actual Waist Size as these Dhotis Waist Size are not Standard as Normal Dhotis and hence if you buy as per your actual Waist Size, i.e. 34 inches, it will be too small and you'll not have enough to wrap around your Waist. The length doesn't matter as it is Standard for all Waist Sizes...
