It has just a little bit of a self tanner in it so it speeds up the tanning process but not so much that your skin turns orange or leaves streaks on your body. I can apply this and in just one afternoon I can achieve enough color to look like I've been tanning all summer! I am of Irish and English decent which means I was born with very light skin color and do not normally 'tan' very easily as the average person does. This is my absolute favorite product and in fact the ONLY product that I have found to date that helps me to achieve that summer glow we all desire! There aren't any stores in my local area that sell this product so I have no choice but to order it online. I ordered through Prime and received it in just 2 days and that was even on a SUNDAY!
