I cut my own mid-back length hair into a pixie to hasten my grey transition. Be sure to check clipper compatibility before buying! It does help to hold the hair up to cut it to the guard length but otherwise expect about 1/4 inch longer than the guard. Certainly saves $$ on trips to the salon or barber for cleanups.

Got these to leave hair a bit longer. They stay on our Wahl trimmer better than the guards that came with it, which pop off intermittently.

Decent. The clip broke after 2 uses, so they are very fragile and you have to be very careful when attaching them to the clippers.
