The Brie Collection (Novels 1-3)

Lots of smut
This is full of smut. If you like BDSM, this basically just moves from scene to scene with tons of explicit details as Brie learns how to be a proper submissive. There is some plot too.Things I liked: lots of details on the BDSM community, the importance of not letting someone practice on you if they’re inexperienced. Introductions to all aspects of BDSM. There’s a lot of good content on here. The scenes were super hot 🌶🍆😈🔥🧨. So many good scenes in here. What I didn’t like as much which is why I gave it 4⭐️ instead of 5⭐️:Ms. Clark hating Brie from the get-go and having it out to punish her as much as possible and make her miserable, and trying to get her kicked out of the training center got old fast. For a senior Domme who is supposed to be experienced and in control, she had no control of her temper and vindictiveness around Brie. I hated her and was surprised the story had the other Doms continuously allowing her to single out Brie for the slightest imagined infraction.Brie is immature and naive and it gets a little old. She constantly makes mistakes because of her immaturity and not thinking things through. I got frustrated when a Dom/Domme would give her orders and they’d be vague and she’d be punished for not reading their minds on how they wanted her to execute the orders. There’s quite a few times where her mistakes weren’t her fault at all but she gets punished anyways and isn’t alowed to explain what happened. Brie’s insta-love with Sir Thane drove me nuts. She meets him and suddenly he is the perfect Dom before she even has started the life style. She also seems to get crushes on every Dom she has a scene with and it just gets old.Overall though I really enjoyed the book and smut scenes. It did make me realize that I could never be a full time sub as never having time to yourself and being able to relax drom the constant demands and expectations of pleasing your Dom at all times just sounds completely exhausting.

Amazing book, upset about cover
Love this book series. I am upset that there is something stuck to the cover. Anyone have any ideas on how to get it off without damaging the book?

well written and entertaining

Definitely a triple or quadruple "X" rating--for mature adults interested in broadening their knowledge about sex.
If you're a "Vanilla Sex"--oriented individual, with an open mind, seeking knowledge about the D/s lifestyle, then you've found the absolutely most essential, thorough guide, and extraordinarily detailed "how to" manual of how to enter into the D/s World. It was eye-opening and totally fascinating, to say the least. It's a remarkable guide to several techniques, including pointing out the most erotic, erogenous zones of the body, and how to stimulate all of them for maximum results, and many role-playing scenarios, along with a guide on the discipline, mindset, and ethical, moral, and proper etiquette, that is the correct way to approach this extremely erotic lifestyle. If you're a nymphomaniac, or sex addict, looking for more kink, erotica, or you're simply interested in broadening your sexual repertoire and techniques,, then this book set is for you. If you are well and truly "hooked" by the end of book #3, you'll be delighted to know that the new, main Submissive's adventure continues on through, to include approximately twelve books.I had previously read, Shades of Grey" by a different author, that a friend insisted that I read, along with the two subsequent books in that series,, I was disturbed by the degradation and despair that I thought was the overall complete picture of the BDS&M lifestyle, and didn't care for it very much at all. I couldn't reconcile the behavior described, at least to my way of thinking, and in my mind, with any kind of lifestyle that could possibly be mentally or physically healthy for the woman. It seemed mentally abusive, and detrimental to the very sanity of the young women, in particular. However; what that book obviously failed to demonstrate, these books succeed in detailing minutely, and completely set the record straight, at last, that the D/s lifestyle, when it's a consensual, mutually fulfilling, loving, symbiotic, relationship between two consensual, mutually respectful, intelligent, adults interested in mutual sexual exploration, can be satisfying and beneficial with the right mindset. And while it still may not be my personal choice of lifestyle, at least for now, I can at least finally understand why some people would find this lifestyle attractive, exciting, acceptable, creative, artistic, cathartic, and, a possibly, mutually respectful, beneficial, happy lifestyle, for the most adventurous of lovers. Even people who prefer "Vanilla Sex" can learn several valuable lessons, tips, and a plethora of information from this book box set.The books, from an academic viewpoint, are a goldmine of knowledge, experience, and knowledge about the pleasure that the human body is capable of achieving, as well as being the definitive encyclopedias of the D/s lifestyle. It is definitely worth having in your book library for detailed instructions on various forms of lovemaking, and as a singularly unique source of creative exploration and inspiration..

Overall good but disturbing at the same time.
While the sex and most of the scenes are written quite well I found the non consensual sex and 'pushing of boundaries ' disturbing. The idea that a sub will have sex with anyone she is told to, wherever and with an audience goes against my idea of safe, sane and consensual. Having full, penetrative, sex with a partner specifically listed as a hard limit at the first session was wrong as there could have been valid reasons for the preference. Trust must be built and I find this approach can be misinterpreted by would be dom / domes who over estimate their experience and jump in to things way too early. It really doesn't matter how many times the words experienced and controlled are used in the story. I did read it to the end, and while the only depiction of a D/s relationship was a 24/7 one and the use of titles rather than names prevailed until the last few pages, it was quite well written with mostly well drawn characters.

Introduction to the BDSM world
I've got a free kindle copy of this book. While it is clear that the author's extremely knowledgeable when it comes to the various BDSM practises and all the ritual and 'philosophy' behind, and I do appreciate it, I also found their characters rather bi-dimensional: yes, it is true that their feeling and emotions are deeply explored during every sexual encounter, but outside of that there's little to nothing about Brie's real life ( or any body else in there, for what that matters). Everything seems to be built around the sexual moments. A constant, repetitive description of sexual acts that no matter how they always end up being a fantastic, romantic-like, experiences.Different from much of the erotica I read so far, and quite informative too, I like the simple, direct and straight to the point author's style.A great read for the lovers of the genre, and anyone who feels that need to know more about the Bdsm world and it's practise.

Great Boxset
I really enjoyed these first 3 books in Brie’s Submission. I must admit sometimes I can be weary of BDSM books after the whole 50 shades thing. However after reading this boxset 50 shades is tame in comparison but this series does show the real world of BDSM and training for both Dom’s & Sub’s. Also knowing the author is an actual sub makes me understand the first hand knowledge she has to write books on this. It’s not just about sex which can be off putting in some books this tells the start of a journey for both Brie as a sub but link in with other characters from all sides of BDSM. I personally really enjoyed reading this box set so much so I have just bought box sets (4-6/7-9/10-12) and I’m going to start on book 4 after this review.

Interesting
This book was my in between book, I went back to this when I had finished a series. This was a bit far fetched for me, unable to see how someone can serve someone and do everything on their command. This is a life style choice that suit some and part of me commends that someone can hand over that kind of controlWhat I did love about this book was what it taught me about myself!!!!! It left Mr questioning my own sexual preferences, what I liked and did not like. Some of the scenes on this book were fantastic and others not so.This is my first time reading anything be Red Phoenix, and I will read more in the hope that they are as enjoyable as this, but more so to help me understand and explore myself more.
