Motley Crue: Carnival of Sins Live [Blu-ray]

This DVD is awesome! I thought all band members appeared as if they tried to put 100% in this concert. I noticed no tension among them at all. They were all enthusiastic and the music rocked...making me wish I could have been there. Tommy Lee put 110% in this, playing drums like only he can and having a great time. Nikki had some great moments of dialogue with the audience and awesome playing, Mick can still rock despite his health issues, and Vince played the crowd well. I thought he let the audience sing a bit too much of his lines, we want to hear HIM, but I think he was just caught up in the energy from the audience and wanted to include them as much as possible. The Grand Rapids audience was really into the show. The cameras tended to focus on alot of the same ppl in the audience (anyone else notice how MUCH they showed the blonde girl reaching for Vince?) I didnt paticularly like the grainy scenes when they talked to the audience or had breaks, because you couldnt make it out as clear, but the over-all effect was okay I guess. The special effects were awesome too. So in a nutshell, it's worth the money especially if you are a big Crue fan. It's a good one to have as far as being one good final concert to show a history of the Crue (if this really is a farewell tour.) I'm glad I have it in my collection. They promised a new album if fans want it so I hope they get really good reviews. I think they have the potential to stay together if everyone can put personal issues aside and think of the fans. They genuinely appear to want to make it work. Good luck, Motley Crue I hope you will continue to rock together for many more years, and if by chance this is not possible, thanks for giving us an awesome final tour!!

I have been a die hard Motley Crue fan for 22 years,i have seen them over a dozen times in concert,Motley Crue has taken the torch for best heavy metal and stage shows,after every tour they think "how can we do better next time?"and they hit a bullseye with this tour,i was at this concert that was filmed at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapid, Michigan,I was in the 4th row,I am 41 and the Crue made me feel like a teenager again,I couldn't talk for a week after the show,I am not kidding either,I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ANYONE WHO LOVES HEAVY METAL AND STAGE SHOWS WITH PYROGRAPHICS to buy this DVD.Tommy Lee does a heck of a drum solo,there fire breathing midgets,near naked female acrobats,Vince,Tommy,Nikki,and Micki really got it right this time,over 3 hours of Motley Crue tunes,enough pyrographics to light up a small town,the Crue driving thier Harley Davidson choppers on stagethe bottom line is-----EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!if you weren't a cruehead before this DVD,you will be after it.I have gone all over Michigan never to miss a Motley Crue concert,then when I got 4th row and seen this show was being filmed just 20 minutes from my home,I felt like I hit the lottery,I have seen clips of the DVD and I saw myself several times(pretty cool)I also saw them previously in Detroit,then later in Detroit, seeing Motley Crue 3 times in 6 months is a dream,now I have that dream on DVD,they also played songs they usually don't like Glitter,Without You.go buy it hook it up and crank it up,you will love it

Finally Motley Crue are going to release the 'live' DVD fans have been waiting for!!! Original line up back together doing what they do best! The Crue are renowned for their massive, elaborate stage shows...with heaps of pyro and barely dressed girls. The DVD is titled 'Carnival of sins' and the whole show has a circus theme to it.......but with the 18 year old restriction it aint one for the minors! This DVD will be a far cry from the 'Lewd Crued and Tattooed' disc they released a few years back.I know some people have rasied concerns about the footage.....but if you read the reviews for the DVD KISS 'symphony' there were people who bagged the disc has having shocking editing problems with the picture flicking rapidly from shot to shot, however when I picked up the DVD it was awesome!!! and I couldn't see a reason for the criticism!!Motley Crue in my opinion would have to be one of the greatest live bands in history!!!!I wish they had of filmed and released a show from Dr Feelgood tour!!! Now, however, we get the best tour since then!!There are a couple of unknowns for me with this DVD.......1. Is this a double as I heard it was????2. Please put heaps of special features as fans are wanting all that extra stuff I am sure!Buy this DVD if you want to see a rock concert the likes of which have not been seen in a long long time!!Motley Crue rock!!!!!!!!!

This DVD was a Christmas present and well worth the wait since it was released in October and I was asked not to purchase it since it was so close to the holidays and that is all I have asked for. This is a must have for any TRUE Motley Crue fan. With any video it does not compare with the live show which was wonderful but does give a the fan the opportunity to see the Carnival if they were unable to attend a concert. The second disc shows how much work goes into the preperation for the concert and how much the band wants to please the audience with the show, which I believe a lot of artist have forgotten this important role in their careers. Home Sweet Home was beautifully done and the older songs brought back the feeling of the earlier 80's. Nikki's mad scientist performance was amazing both live and on the DVD. I could have done without the Tommy Cam but with the DVD I can hit next and it goes away. Overall the DVD is an excellent choice and was a perfect gift for me. VINCE and Motley Crue Forever!!!!! Note: some parts of the DVD such as the Tommy cam are not suited for younger children. Also, if you have the opportunity to go to the live show you need to go.

These guys live up to their reputation in this performance. Overheated my Amp watching this one

La caja llegó rota, al parecer se les cayó, el disco esta bien pero la caja esta golpeada y rota al igual que el papel, como pueden reemplazarla?

Vi dico solo questo: conosco i Motley dagli anni '80 (non ero un metallaro, ma uno che ascoltava un po' di tutto tra cui anche metal e hard rock) e mi piacevano si ma non da impazzire. Beh, dopo quasi 25 anni scopro questo live (che è poi quello della reunion + o- definitiva della band) e mi sono innamorato. Davvero fantastico.Loro sono davvero assurdi, pe quello che hanno fatto dovrebbero essere morti, in galera, in un centro di recupero o non so in che buco della terra e invece sono su un palco a suonare come degli indemoniati, fanno uscire la gente di testa e tengono su uno spettacolo di vero rock'n'roll senza tempo. Mi hanno fatto ritrovare la voglia di sentire davvero la musica, quella vera.Passando al prodotto, un doppio DVD ben fatto e senza fronzoli, 1 DVD con il Live (tracce DD e DTS 5.1 e DD 2.0 quindi bene sia su impianti stereo che home theater) qualità video più che buona per un live e 1 DVD con contenuti speciali/documentari e video in grado di soddisfare il prurito di saperne di più su di loro e sul live.Andate davvero ad occhi chiusi. Anche se non impazzite per il genere, vi portate a casa 2 ore e passa di vero rock scritto, suonato e cantato da chi negli anni '80 ha davvero vissuto sex - drugs & rock'n'roll sulla nuda pelle.

I had seen various clips of this concert on U Tube. I noticed Amazon had it. Is a fab concert & some great interviews on Disc 2 of the band and crew (no pun). Of you are a fan then buy this. I also find is an excellent DVD to listen to while exercising!!!
