American Crew Men's Hair Pomade (OLD VERSION), Like Hair Gel with Heavy Hold with High Shine, 3 Oz (Pack of 1)

I just received this yesterday last minute before I was going to work and my hair was tow-up. This stuff fixed that super quick! It's not a cream or a gel, but rather a waxy feeling to it. It's solid clear as seen in the photos and you get what you pay for. I got sick of using those ICE spiker products for turning into hard glue afterwards, then found this. At least with this you can still run your fingers through your hair!.. And yes, you can STILL style it to your liking. (Even when dry!) Some people say it's got a musky smell to it... DUDE, YOU'RE A MAN! MEN ARE MUSKY! This smells like a total man's product! To me it just smells really clean and really manly. It's pretty stiff for a pomade, just don't overdo it on dry hair. If you want that wavy, messed or styled up kind of hairdo..Then this is for you. I used a little extra for that maximum hold and my hair STILL hasn't budged even a 10 hour shift. I can still run my hands through my hair too! It's not hard at all. I'm ordering a lot more when I get my second delivery. I need to make sure it's the same product. Careful of fakes. I'll call and raise HELL on Amazon if it's a fake. This one's authentic though so you should be cool. And one more thing... DAMN IT AMAZON!!! IT TAKES FOREVER FOR YOU PEOPLE TO DELIVER A HAIR PRODUCT?! SERIOUSLY. Expect to WAIT a week for this product. IT SAYS TWO DAY SHIPPING WITH PRIME, BUT IT'S DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING. IT DOES NOT TAKE TWO DAYS, IT TAKES 7 DAYS. PLEASE CALL AMAZON TO LET THEM KNOW IT'S DECEPTIVE MARKETING. I'm giving Amazon 1 Star for delivery & 5 for the product.

Just came back from Europe and forgot my American Crew line of hair care products at home in the US. I was in Amsterdam for 3 weeks, and I must have purchased at least 10 different pomade/hair products from their local stores. NOTHING comes close to the quality of American Crew! NOTHING. I even thought about having my friend go to my apartment, and pick this stuff up, and send it to me in Europe through the mail! I couldn't find any store in Amsterdam that carried this stuff. And my whole trip, I looked like a riffraff; homely and unsightly hair lacking shine, body, and texture. Something that ALL of these products have managed to contribute to my hair styling. I will NEVER leave home again without this stuff. ALL of their products; from the hair gels, to pomades, fibers, and grooming creams work magic on my hair! Even at the end of a long work day, I can run my fingers through my hair and my hairstyle still looks great (sometimes even better) by the end of the day.I have dark, thick, loose-curly hair. I am half latino and European mix, and I do not have that bone-straight Anglo hair that is much easier and low-maintenance than mine. Those who have that super straight hair may be able to get away with using generic hair products from the grocery store, but my thick curly hair cannot look good with any other stuff. NO other hair products I've tried in my 30+ years existing on this planet comes close to American Crew. Thank you American Crew for making me feel like super model!

I've been using American Crew styling gel for years. But it can be a bit expensive. I recently started trying this pomade and I like it. With gel in the bottle, I feel like I'm paying a lot more for just water. And these seem to be a lot less expensive for what equates to the same amount, because they're so much more concentrated. Although I haven't done the math enough to get a good comparison.

I don’t know about you, but I have thick coarse hair that loves to get all wavy and curly if I use anything other than a High Hold High Shine pomade. I’ve tried every combination and HH-HS is the only things that keeps my hair straight and in place the course of the day. And even gives it stylistic volume a day or two after.American Crew loves to overprice their products. Why? I don’t know. I’m not a fan of the soft scent they use for their hair products, particularly the pomades, but I guess they think images of 1950s icons equates to a higher price.The one thing I will say about their take on the High Hold High Shine is that it feels very good. I tried Barlow’s version of the HH-HS and it was very gluey and gooey. I’m a particular fan of Cremo’s HH-HS Hair Polish but the smell is just wayyyyy too much of a synthetic citrus bomb. American Crew mellows it out with a more “polish” vibe.I would never buy just one of these because it’s way too much money but in a 3-pack or multipack, it’s definitely worth it for those of you with thick unruly hair looking to slick it back and to do what you want it to it.

I tried this on the recommendation of a stylist when I was trying to find a replacement for a similar product that had been discontinued....she pointed out that it was significantly cheaper than a comparable women's product....she called it the 'pink tax'. I spike my short hair and this is perfect for how I style my hair, it lasts and doesn't droop as the day goes on.

This is my new go-to pomade. After trying many other pomades, this is my favorite (although Suavecito Firme Hold is very close). I like the American Crew Heavy Hold pomade because it maintains a good hold while not being too stiff when trying to comb my hair to get my desired style. The shine lasts all day while not being too greasy looking. I like the smell. It has the same scent as the other American Crew pomades, which is hard to describe, but it is not offensive in any way, and goes away after a couple of hours. The only bad thing about the pomade is that I have to use quite a bit for my thick hair. Granted, I have to use about the same amount as similar pomades, but the 3 oz can doesn't last that long.All in all, I would recommend this pomade for anyone who likes a little bit of shine and needs a heavier hold product. It is reasonably priced on Amazon, and is a quality product.
