Work well for a while, but then start to fail
I bought these in February 2018, about 13 months ago.They function well and are easy to install.But after a year I've seen the hinges installed on high use doors start to fail.I took apart the failed hinges and found 2 failure modes. One the dampening mechanism sticks in the retracted position.The other is the dampening mechanism fails outright and moves but doesn't dampen.This is the 2nd brad and style I've tried and now I'm looking for a 3rd brand. Hope to find one that will last.
