Real Pigeons Fight Crime (Book 1)

My 6-yr old grandson loves the BOTS series and I was looking for something else to read with him while he waits for the next one in the series to come out. I bought Real Pigeons Fight Crime #1 and crossed my fingers it would be as engaging as the BOTS books. He loves it. We read two chapters together and then he'll sit by himself and re-read his favorite parts giggling the whole time at the silly antics of the Real Pigeons. I like that for the most part the vocabulary in the story is easily within his capabilities and the illustrations delight him. It's a joy to watch his enjoyment when he's reading it to himself.

My 8 year old and 5 year old loved this book. It’s a graphic novel and is along the same lines as The Bad Guy books by Aaron Blabey. My 8 year old could read these independently and I’d put them at a 1st grade-2nd grade reading level. Awesome for reluctant readers or those 1st and 2nd graders trying to graduate to chapter books.

My kids love pigeons! I’m so glad I found this book. Both love it.
