IdeaWorksUSB Lamp Base with Night Light

I'm confused by the complaints I'm reading about this little guy. The instructions clearly state that it can either charge one tablet OR two smartphones, NOT ALL AT THE SAME TIME. Of course it will overheat if you overload it, or expect it to power your nuclear generator. In fact, I watch movies on a Kindle Fire and charge my smartphone simultaneously, with no issues. I use it under a bedside table fan, which fits perfectly. If you're trying to prop up a 30lb brass lamp, yeah, its gonna break. With a little common sense and proper usage, it's a great alternative to having to stretch cords across the room all the time!

I purchased two bases to use in my living room at each end of my couch. One of the bases died within two months, the other lasted almost a year. They were excellent while they lasted, but I won't be repurchasing them.

The light is annoying! Very annoying! To the point I had to cover it with black tape. I hate the fact it’s round,, why round? Make it square! More things fit on square things! I will probably donate the thing.

I bought 2. The price was great, but after a short time, both units started to "pulse" and not charge. My devices beeped repeatedly as if I was unplugging and plugging them back in. The item is not robust - light-weight plastic exterior. The nightlight would be great if it could be turned off. In the space it takes up, there shouldn't be such a limit on what you can charge (two phones or one tablet?). Guess I'll try a more expensive version next. My lamps have square bases. I would love this as option!

I already had one of these purchased at a charity event a few years ago. It works wonderfully. I ordered two more from Amazon and neither worked nor could I get a replacement. The company, however, should get 5 stars for their response to my return. It was almost immediate.

I wish there was a way to turn the light off, it is so bright when you're trying to sleep.

I love this product. I put it under the lamp on my nightstand and the light is so soft, I was able to charge the phone without taking up a lot of space on my night stand. Love it, planning on ordering a few more

Barely charges anything.After a few weeks, wrapped it up & put in a drawer.
