Mind-blowing and absolutely thrilling
First of all someone please tell me when is the next book coming?I was never too fond of books before I got my hands on the first book of the series: From Blood and Ash. That was so engaging and I so fell in love with Hawke and Poppy. I was lucky to wait only for one more month before the second one released. Now I can't wait for the next one. This series is a must read. It's totally gonna blow your mind away!!

Again Jen has outdone herself!!
First of all this book was written in span of 3-4 months!!! And that too detailed book that answered our questions from book 1 but now have millions of more questions! Wish I had Kieran for answering these questions!!!Loved the conversations between Poppy and Kieran and Cas. Loved the details! Can't wait for book 3

Wonderful with a fitting cliffhanger
What just happened???????I swear I have never been more pissed about a book ending on such a cliff hanger and this is me complimenting the book because it was one hell of a cliffhanger.I have never been a fan of Jennifer Armentrout's books books because somehow I always have issues with the male lead, but this book took my breath away in the last few pages.I confess that though I enjoyed the first book initially the turn of events towards the end of the book was distasteful. No matter how noble the intentions, lying to someone especially the one you claim to love is irredeemable and left me sullen at the end of the first book.Poppy is an absolutely delightful character, fierce, loyal and sarcastic to the core whose character growth could have been more than just swooning whenever she meets her heartmate Casteel aka Hawke aka the Dark Prince.Speaking about Hawke, I am not particularly fond of him though the author did show another side of him which makes him appealing to the reader. Though I completely understand his motivations for his actions, Casteel was still someone who I felt gets his way by his good looks. I do have an issue when authors always describe the male lead to be this out of the world good looking which makes most things easily forgivable. The banter between the leads was fun to read, so also the romantic moments between the two. However I do feel we could have got to confessing the feelings part sooner as after a while it just tedious. I mean skirting around the topic that much made me want to roll my eyes.I liked how the author focussed on every single supporting characters of the story and wove them in into the storyline seamlessly. Each character was wonderfully written and I felt like rooting for each of them especially in some high tension scene which was long due. However, I have to show my love to my absolute favorite character in the book, the adorable and mouthy Kieran. Damn!! He was delightful in every sentence and his camaraderie with Poppy made me laugh every time. I felt the book lit up whenever he was around and I do hope that the author does write a novella only on Kieran, I would definitely buy that one. It has been a while since I loved the best friend. I gave one extra star to the book only for that perfect woven🤭To summarize I would say that the book is heavy on romance so if you are going into it for fantasy, you won't get it till the last quarter of the book. But mind you, the last part is totally worth it and the fourth star is for the terribly spellbindingcliffhanger. As of now, counting down the long days till the next installment.

I thought first one described emotions in detail but this one surpasses it and gives you a feeling it’s never enough. You just keep reading in awe page after pages lost to time .

BRILLIANT JLA!!
“You can’t spell dysfunctional without fun, now can you?”📖 A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire🧚 Jennifer L Armentrout📚 Blood and Ash #2Imagine you are a two-hundred-years ‘young’, near-immortal, scion of the mightiest kingdom....Now imagine you have been tasked with kidnapping a naive, barely-legal, really-violent ‘Maiden’.All you have to do is take her from Point A to Point B, Should be easy right? Specially when you are completely, hopelessly in Love with her!?..In a very Evrything-that-can-go-Wrong-goes-really-WRONG situation, every turn brings its own set of shock, scandal, malice and death!..Of course, it ends with a BOMBshell (literally) and of course I have started the next book stat and I will get back to you all soon once I devour that!!😇...

Armentrout has done it again. This book is even better than the first one! The plot is so interesting that you will find yourself gasping everytime you find something new.Poppy, truly comes into her own over the course of this book; her power evolves, she also becomes even more of an imposing, not-to-be-toyed-with heroine. Her relationship with Hawke also deepens as the two become both physically and emotionally closer. All in all, the relationship has everything you could want out of a book romance.Moving on to the plot, it’s more character driven than that of the first book. It also does a fair amount of world expansion, building upon our understanding of Solis and Atlantia’s histories and mythos. In spite of being less action driven, the book’s pace moves at a good clip. The story never stalls or feels sluggish. The writing itself is very easy to read, which helps to move the story along. Just like the first book, this is written in the first person from Poppy’s point of view, which adds to its enjoyability. The first-person narrative builds suspense (you only know what Poppy knows) and allows you to more easily imagine yourself in the story. So in a nutshell, once you start this book, you won’t want to put it down.
