Is it necessary to use the short hose if the only problem is a leak in the hose close to the sprayer?

It is not necessary to replace the short hose if it is not leaking. I always do the minimum. Mine has been working just fine since July 2021. I saved the short hose just in case there was a problem.

Does the pull out hose come with a quick connector adapter like the original ones?

Yes, my friend, this is a hose combo, like the original. Please refer to our product description and double check whether your Pull-down or Pull-out Kitchen Faucet is compatible with this hose combo or not. Have a nice shopping time.

I have the hansgrohe proaktiv faucet with pull-out sprayer, 06979xx0 (xx =color). i believe this is the updated set. can you help me confirm please?

Hi, Andrew, Proaktiv is not in the replacement list of 88624000 hose kit. You can contact Hansgrohe after-sales to confirm the correct replacement hose you will need.

How do you actually get into the base of the tap to replace the section that has the quick connector on the other end?

Since the end that connects to the sprayer has an O ring that fits into the sprayer, I wonder where washers are required. But… the question is about how to disconnect the threaded end of the short hose from the faucet. It may be necessary to remove the faucet from the sink to get to that part that secures the short hose to the faucet … and you need a wrench that can access that nut to unscrew it and then expose the 4 hoses, including the short replacement hose and the hot and cold hoses, and the long hose carrying the water. (I have a photo but Amazon allows only videos.) However, other customers have said that the short hose does not have to be replaced if the only leak is in the longer hose. So I looked at reviews for the hose only – it seems the replacement hose might be thicker and thus difficult to push-pull through the faucet. Mine is 0.5" in diameter, so the replacement hose only should fit.

Seems identical to OEM

Excellent replacement for Hansgrohe original. The original tube leaked after about 15 years. This appears identical to the OEM item. It was not especially hard to replace, though it took some trial and error to snake it past a tight fit here and there. The connections were solid and it has worked fine since.

Fit Hansgrohe Tails pull down faucet

Te Hansgrohe Talis faucet came from Costco with a lifetime warranty. Te pull down faucet hose is the weak link in this excellent made faucet as this is the third hose. Te first replacement was under warranty and I would assume his onewold have been also. However when the kitchen faucet sprays mr water out of the broken hose than the pull down nozzle you need to do something with the most used valve in the house. Amazon to the rescue, nt only did they have a suitable replacement they delivered it before 7am the next day. As far as the hose, is is not as heavy as the original.it was also at least two feet shorter, but I made it work and no leaks.
