A Very Merry Bromance: Bromance Book Club, Book 5

A wonderful romantic story
I loved this Bromance Book Club novel! A moving story about a stuttering relationship between Colton, a music superstar, and Gretchen, an immigration lawyer and member of a rich dysfunctional family. The author does a wonderful job developing their story. I was pleased to see the words "toxic masculinity" not appear in the book, although the author's jibe about the toxic lens “that all cisgender heterosexual men are taught to look through” I feel is ridiculous. Who is teaching all cisgendered heterosexual men the toxic lens? Despite this comment, I thoroughly enjoyed the book, and highly recommend the book. ok.

I love this series
I love this series with my whole heart! It keeps me CACKLING throughout every single book. Lyssa Kay Adams knows how to write rom coms! Colton and Gretchen are an unlikely pair, but they are perfect for each other. I loved the way their beginning conversations were mirrored through the rest of the book. The way that they both sacrifice for each other was awesome, and I enjoyed the opposite comparisons of their families and how easily Colton’s family welcomed Gretchen as a part of their own.The continued bromance book club storyline brings me such joy. All of the couples coming together and being the perfect found family made me feel so warm and fuzzy ❤️ And it’s set at Christmas time?! Say less. And of course, there was a grand gesture! It was so predictable and cheesy, and I LOVED it.I need more books in this series ASAP!-Dual POV-Grumpy/Sunshine-Opposites Attract-Found Family-Holiday Romance

Perfect addition to the Bromance series!
Tropes:- grumpy x sunshine- opposites attract- found familyAfter a steamy night of fun a year ago, Gretchen Winthrop has done everything in her power to avoid Colton Wheeler and his attempts at reconnecting. That all changes when her brother dangles the opportunity of joining the charitable foundation board their family’s whiskey company runs—something Gretchen has always wanted and is willing to do anything for. The company wants Colton to be the face of their upcoming whiskey campaign, and her brother believes using their ‘connection’ is the key to winning Colton over.Pining over her for months and needing a distraction from his failing career, Colton is more than happy to talk to Gretchen about the campaign, but has one stipulation: he’ll only consider it if she goes on a couple dates with him. Hesitant but willing to do anything to impress her family, Gretchen begrudgingly agrees, and Colton plans several adorable holiday themed dates. In true Bromance fashion, Colton and Gretchen’s story is not without drama and heartache. While the chemistry between them is off the charts hot, Gretchen has a lot of intimacy & trust issues thanks to her family, and keeps Colton at arms length. Though the dudebros & their lady loves aren’t around as much as the previous books, their support for Colton & Gretchen is still very much apparent, and I love their little family unit so much.A Very Merry Bromance is a wonderful addition to the Bromance Book Club series, and I hope there’s more books to come in this series!

Another fun book in the series!
Thank you PRH Audio for the complimentary audiobook. All thoughts and opinions are my own.I have to admit that this was a slow start for me. Sunshine/grumpy trope where the male is the ray of sunshine and she is bah humbug. (Gretchen dislikes Christmas, has never decorated a tree or had the joy of seeing presents accumulate under the tree.) I didn't care for Gretchen at first, while Colton was just a wonderful book boyfriend. After a one-night stand between country star Colton Wheeler and immigration attorney Gretchen Winthrop a year ago, she ghosts him and all his attempts to contact her. Now. her family is wanting Colton as the brand ambassador for their whiskey line and since she knows him, they want her to get him to do it.She spends more time with him and attempts to get her to like Christmas. There were some fun moments and banter between them, but there were also some serious moments. Her family is out of this world awful-especially her older brother. The bromance club moments were the best parts of the book for me. I enjoyed when they were all together.I listened to the audiobook and the narrator is Andrew Eiden, who is wonderful. He has narrated all the books in this series. While he does a wonderful job, I really wish there would be a female narrator for Gretchen. (and all main character females in each book). There are so many male voices for him to differentiate in this series that it would be nice to get a completely different voice for the female. Just my preference.

A little too something
It is a great book, but it seems like the author spent too much time on booktok or some Facebook book groups listening to people complain about words they don't like and other things like this instead of staying true to her writing style & author voice. For such a great author and series, this was annoying.

great bromance finale!
Another Bromance win!Thank you to Netgalley, Berkley Publishing, and Lydia Kay Adam’s for the e-arc. I am leaving my review voluntarily.Notable Tropes:Reverse Grumpy/SunshineHoliday Romance (not over the top)Found FamilyDual POVAfter reading about the famous Colton as a side character in all the other novels before this…. I definitely was curious as to when his story would come out. It did NOT disappoint. Though I will admit, I did have a little issue with Gretchen’s attitude in the beginning, but then understood where she was coming from as we got more of her story. This book was a fast paced, heartwarming, and funny story. I of course, LOVED the bromance between the men, and how they help lift each other up when they need it the most. Highly recommend this series to anyone and everyone looking for cute romance!!

Christmas + bromance = perfection!
“Because this is a Christmas grand gesture. There must be a Santa suit.”Of course there must Vlad! There is no other way to do it!I loved every minute of this. The bromance bookclub are such a beautiful family dynamic that I wish I was lucky enough to be part of it. The other couples we have met throughout the series play just the right amount of influence, except Vlad - deservedly so, he still steals every show! This had me laughing, crying, frowning and swooning in buckets.Grumpy/sunshine trope is so much fun when it's grumpy FMC and sunshine MMC.So damn good, I couldn't put it down and stayed up far too late reading but when I finally put it down it was a long old slog to picking it back up again, when I did. I devoured it. 2 sittings and it was gone.I cant wait for more from this author! Christmas + bromance = perfection!

Readable, but Uninspired!
The plot had little conflict (aside from internal angst) for reader to feel satisfied when love conquers all obstacles. It appears this franchise has run it creative course, the use of learning new behaviours from old romantic fiction, has not been a theme in the past two books. Primarily due to the book club members having graduated, so any new book they read has the same old tropes. This book is an OK read, my key criticism was the female protagonist back story and trauma could have been better defined and explained. I recommend reading this book to complete the franchise, but not as a stand-alone bookThe original story premise of the franchise has been exhausted, the author should begin a fresh new franchise.

Será este o final da série?
Colton, um famoso cantor country, teve uma noite maravilhosa com Gretchen, uma advogada defensora de imigrantes. Ele quer repetir a dese. Ela foge dele.
