Guitar Theory For Dummies with Online Practice

As an older guitar player, I wanted to move beyond simply playing “cowboy” chords in an effort to take my playing to the next level. Lots of great information in this book that helps reinforce some of the things my guitar teacher is going over that I can’t remember. Great resource.

Il libro è in inglese ma facilmente comprensibile, ben strutturato, la progressione degli argomenti lo rende molto fruibile, gli esempi sono tanti, anche troppi..la parte online è interessante e va a compensare qualche piccolo bug nel testo. Lo definirei un ottimo vademecum per il chitarrista!Personalmente non credo sia adatto se si è totalmente digiuni di questi argomenti, ma se si una una infarinatura generale sui concetti armonici è un valido aiuto nella progressione dello studio.Molto meglio di titoli più blasonati italiani su tale argomento...e di manuali ne ho molti!Ottimo lavoro dell'autore, consigliato se si cerca una sorta di prontuario e si mastica l'argomento un minimo!

I hadn't picked my guitar up for a while, so needed some inspiration, and this book was it! I have played for years, but lazily dodged a lot of the theory, but this book breaks it all down into bite size chunks that make sense! You can choose your own pace, and there are online videos to help as well. It's great that the book also points to real-world examples so you can hear how the chords and melodies work on well-known tunes. I have learnt loads, and my theory has improved considerably. Great way to improve your knowledge, but won't suit beginners as kind of assumes you can play a bit, but for lower-end intermediates and the casual guitar player, it is perfect!
