Great Starter Bible!
I purchased this Bible for my 8-year-old, and I couldn’t be more pleased with it. From the moment we opened it, it was clear that it was designed with children in mind—especially those who are developing stronger reading skills and starting to explore their faith more independently. The first thing that stood out was the large, bold font. It makes reading much easier for young eyes and boosts my child’s confidence when reading aloud. The language is simple yet meaningful, striking a great balance between being understandable and still conveying the depth of the stories. It doesn’t feel watered down, but it’s definitely appropriate for their age level.Visually, the Bible is vibrant and engaging. The illustrations are colorful, detailed, and help bring the stories to life. My child is especially drawn to the pictures and often pauses to ask questions or make observations. The layout is also very kid-friendly—clean, not too crowded, and organized in a way that encourages flipping through and discovering new stories on their own. What I appreciate most is how this Bible holds my child’s attention. It’s not just a book we read at bedtime—it’s something they pick up during the day, sometimes even on their own. It’s sparked curiosity, meaningful conversations, and even moments of quiet reflection. I truly feel this Bible is helping to plant seeds of faith while supporting literacy and comprehension.Overall, this is a fantastic Bible for kids around 7 to 10 years old. It’s thoughtful, visually appealing, easy to read, and spiritually enriching. Highly recommend for any parent looking to give their child a deeper connection to God’s Word in a way that feels fun and approachable.

We have read this so many times through with our daughter already. Every night before bed we read one story and i love the corresponding prayer at the end of each one. She is 2 and the stories and pictures keep her attention. Unlike other Bible storybooks, this includes a LOT more stories and books /sections of the Bible (not just David and Goliath, and Daniel and the lions den). It has stories from Acts and Revalation in it. It is beautifully and intentionally thought out and designed to teach children through the Bible, and about God. The storyline is carried throughout, showing them the design of this world, the Bible, and our creator. I gifted this book last Christmas to all my sisters with kids.

We love this storybook
My 8 year old loves this! We are not a religious family, but my 8 year old has been asking a lot of questions about the Bible and God. I want to embrace whatever belief system she forms and answer any questions she has along the way to the best of my ability. This storybook is a perfect and age appropriate way to explain the stories of the Bible to her in a way she understands. It’s written in a style that adds wit and engages the reader. This is our nightly bedtime story. Bonus points for the bold colored pages and beautiful illustrations.

Beautiful and well written
Beloved edition in our house. My toddler asks for it constantly and loves to call it his Bible. Colorful and the stories break it down to a level that’s easy for kids to understand.

Incredible Bible!
Our family LOVES this Bible and we read it with our kids every night as a part of their bedtime routine. The pictures are engaging and the wording keeps the attention of the kids even in the stories that are generally less kid oriented. We’ve read it with kids ages 0-14 and starting at around 2 they point out things they recognize in the abstract pictures while we read. Currently on our 5th time through! My only qualm is during our 4th time though the book started coming apart at the seams and is now completely separated from the front and back covers. Overall though this Bible is a must buy! We give it as a gift frequently.

Thorough. Great for fourth grade and up to adults. I think I will get something out of it
The media could not be loaded. Great book. Captivating. Breaks down stories into understandable bite size pieces. I wish I had this when I was young. I am glad I have it now. I can’t wait to dig in myself. Great for fourth grade and up to adult. Great artist with bright bold colors. Has a prayer after each story. It is very thorough. It has a bit of theology in there. Great for discussion. Even though this is great for kids who know how to read it would be wonderful to read it with them. Create a bit of family devotion time to understand the Bible.

My boys have loved this bible! They ask to read it before bed every night. And ask to read just one more chapter! Even our 13 year old who is a little skeptic gathers around. It has beautiful pictures, captivating stories, and is a very nice book design.

Beautiful In Art and Words
The media could not be loaded. The Storybook Bible is an enlightening, engaging, funny, clever, and beautiful retelling of the story of the Bible in bite-sized, art-filled chunks. What stands out at first look is the amazing artwork. The cohesive style by Don Clark is really something else. You could just page through this book without even reading the stories and be built up.However, upon reading, you realize the playful yet profound art of the words as well. There are jokes and wordplay in these retelling of key Bible stories, but also a really good grasp of the through line of theology. The prayers at the end of the each story often then connect the story to Jesus and our faith.A note on the theological bias: there is a representational and non-sacramental view displayed in the accounts involving baptism and the Lord’s Supper, for my Lutheran, Anglican, Catholic, Calvinist, and Orthodox friends. Overall, though, there isn’t any other spin here besides Christocentricity that I’ve seen so far.
