*2016 Kia Sorento* Start by opening up the back lid/Trunk There is a plastic trim piece in the that you need to remove. I removed it with my hands and it went back in smoothly, but use a trim tool if you prefer. There are two rubber grommets on the inside of the trunk lid, remove those there are two studs with nuts in those holes. There are a total of five nuts (10mm) that need to be removed, they are very visible. Make sure to unclip the electric light connector and back wiper hose before removing the wing/rear spoiler. At this point it is smart to test your new light just to make sure it is working. I bought the Genuine OEM 92700-C5000 Lamp - High Mounted Stop / 92700C5000 for Kia Sorento 16-20 which I am reviewing. Close the trunk/rear lid and pull the wing/rear spoiler out. You may have to wiggle, wiggle, wiggle it first. Once you have the wing/rear spoiler out you'll see four nuts (8mm) to remove in order to get the brake light out. The installation is to reverse this process. There is an arrow on the part to indicate up. On other note, fishing the new light electrical connector can be made easier by using a pull string because it is a little tight inside the wing/rear spoiler. This part, OEM 92700-C5000 Lamp - High Mounted Stop / 92700C5000 for Kia Sorento 16-20 worked great for me. removal and installation took about 35 minutes but part of that was because it was so hot out I kept stopping. I am not affiliated with the amazon store that sells these parts, but I have bought enough parts that turned out to be ill fitting that I take the time to write reviews for good parts.

It certainly took a bit of time to replace; not the easiest light replacement, helps if you have a second person to hold scoop wired in air as you switch out light component. It was identical to factory in every detail
