SauderPalladia Computer Desk with Hutch, Home Office Desk with Drawers, File Cabinet Storage Drawer, Cable Management, Keyboard Tray, in Vintage Oak finish

This desk came in two boxes. When I first ordered it, I only got box 2/2 and not box 1/2. Apparently, the first box, which had the cabinets and all the screws plus the instructions, got lost somewhere in shipping. However, after calling and reaching out to Amazon to let them know of my problem, they sent both boxes again for free and I received both box 1/2 and box 2/2 the second time around. I had to wait longer than I wanted to for this to come in, but it winded up being worth the extra time in my eyes!Now, it is little difficult to build and it took quite a few hours to make it (started at 3PM, finished at midnight, though there was dinner and snacks and talk in between). We used screwdrivers instead of power tools, though, so screwing everything in by hand was really what made it take so long. The little fancy blocks are solid wood, and were so difficult to screw in, but me and my sisters managed to get everything secure, and the desk turned out beautiful! And it's so sturdy, too!! I think the only downside for me is how easy the paint is to scratch, so just be careful assembling.

My desk came and we got it together rather easily with the instructions. It is beautiful and I am enjoying putting all of my things back out. I absolutely love it!!! 💗💗💗💗

Warning! Don't expect a fast assembly. Took me appreciate 8 hrs a fully assemble as nothing comes together. Instructions were fairly clear with the exceptions of a couple unmarked pieces. Desk is very nice for the price. I was a little disappointed as 2 pieces had some damage but not where is extremely noticed. Likely happened during shipments as the boxes were quite heavy. Desk looks great and am pleased overall.

We just got it put together so my comments may change with time. I really am pleased. This Desk Computer and Hutch has most of the features I was wanting. This are the features I like: closed drawer/pull out for wireless keyboard; multiple drawers, shelf in computer tower location. I use a laptop rather than desktop computer but it fits into this opening; needed a desk with opening large enough to sit my printer (HP Officejet Pro 8610); correct measurements needed for space (width primarily) An issue we experienced was the round holes for wires need to be larger diameter as we had to trim and force the rubber end of the monitor cable as it would not go through the holes. As others have remarked the assembly time is extremely long...6 hours+. The instructions were very detailed and complete it's just that there are a lot of pieces to assemble.I had an issue with getting the removable shelf in as it was a very tight fit in the space. I called customer support number and received prompt assistance with little diificulty. Once completed it a very sturdy nice looking piece of equipment. It is a Sauder product so it is very heavy to move. We used furniture sliders and that helps a bit.

I have bought many pieces of furniture from Sauder over the years. Their quality is always awesome. If you follow their assembly instructions, their products go together easily. If you deviate from the instructions, you may have problems. So, don't! In all of these years, I haven't experienced any manufacturing defects until now. Please keep in mind, I haven't contacted Sauder as I am writing this review, yet. Their products have a 5 year warranty. This model #420513 has a crack in the finish on top of the desktop. The part number is E. Unfortunately, I didn't inspect all of the parts as I was taking them out of the box. Plus, you can't see the desktop until your assembled desk is 95% complete and lifting it up via the assembly instructions. This is when I saw the defect for the first time. You have to ask yourself, even with the assembly being easy, do you want to do it all over again just due to a cracked finish? After a few days. I have decided, "Yes, I do!" For the amount of money I paid for this computer desk, I shouldn't have to continue to look at this crack every time I come in and use my computer. I am uploading a pic of the crack and the location of it. I am sure you will agree with my decision. I will update this review after I have spoken to Sauder"s customer service to report my experience. Your products are only as good as the customer service you give to satisfy your customer's problem. Thanks! I do give Sauder 5 stars because there products are great 99.9% of the time!

A little bit difficult to assemble but looks great.

This Desk is absolutely Beautiful, Solid and Very sturdy, BUT it comes literally in pieces. We've never seen a piece of furniture come this unassembled. It was so very time consuming and the instructions were not always the easiest to follow. Now that it is fully assembled, I do feel it was worth it, but my husband who had to do the assembling may say different. Lol! It truly is a Beautiful Desk with old world charm and rustic class. I couldn't give it 5 stars due to the difficulty in assembling it.

The desk came with a scratch which I've addressed with the manufacturer at the time of assembly. NO REPLY. At this moment, the flat desk/monitor part is bubbling around the edges due to cheap materials used. The desk looked nice when initially assembled minus the scratch mark but sturdiness is below the mark due to edges bubbling.To date - BUYERS BEWARE., Cheap materials. The edges around the desk are discolored and in front of the desk is still bubbling.UPDATE - 2/18/24. Desk is still bubbling and peeling around the doors, drawers, border designs of the desk. I am not harsh with products and take care of items purchased but this is ridiculous that for the amount paid, this is happening. POOR QUALITY AND WORMANSHIP ALL AROUND. This was purchased in 2022 and I am still having issues with it Such a shame cause the design is nice. Also the people who assembled the desk, paid thru Amazon missed adding some of the items that were supposed to be added, missed connecting the backing of the desk completely to the back.

Love the end result. It seemed like it came in a hundred pieces and it took my husband a day and a half to put together, but the desk itself is very nice. And it looks great with our other furniture we have in our office. And the quality is not bad. Very lengthy instructions, but well detailed.
