This is great for plugging in Christmas lights on your roof. I installed this in the light socket above one of my exterior doors. Now, instead of having an extension cord hanging down several feet from my roof to reach an outlet, I just plug the Christmas lights directly into this socket without having to use an extension cord at all.

We realized after buying a bunch of christmas lights that our new rental didn't have an outlet on the front porch. We were stuck and had given up, but our neighbour suggested these to us! It works great, gives us better control on when they're on and off (as it just plugs into our porch light which has an indoor switch) and made decorating for the first time sooo much easier!

This product works as intended. Used in a wall mounted light fixture in a room with no outlets with no issues whatsoever.

Used this light bulb socket adapter to replace big box versions that are not expensive, but tend to fail in extreme cold weather and were only good for 2 prong extension cords. Very happy with performance of this product. It will accept both 2 prong and 3 prong extension cords and did not fail in extreme cold weather that we sometimes get in central Alberta (Canada). Who wants to problem solve lights that wont light at - 30 C ? Option for both 2 prong or 3 prong means not tearing lighting supplies apart yet again for 'that extension cord ' which is long enough and outdoor rated....bonus was that it came as a set of 2, so have a backup if needed. So nice, in these times to get a product that actually does what it says it will do. Worth every penny. Thanks!
