I’m so glad I decided to try this matcha! The Jade Leaf Ceremonial Grade Barista Edition is honestly perfect for anyone starting to make matcha at home. I was a little nervous at first because I’ve always just ordered my matcha lattes from Starbucks, but this powder actually tastes so much better. It blended really smoothly—no clumps at all—and the flavor is amazing. It’s not bitter like some other matchas I’ve tried, just super smooth and earthy in the best way. I made a matcha latte with just a splash of sweetener, but honestly, it didn’t need much at all because the taste stands out beautifully on its own. The color is another thing I noticed right away—it’s such a bright, vibrant green, which really shows the quality. Nothing dull or muddy-looking about it. This is definitely going to be my new go-to matcha. I love that I can whip it up at home and get something way better (and cheaper!) than my usual coffee shop order. Once I finish this bag, I’ll for sure be buying another. If you’re new to making matcha, this is the one to start with!

I would have given 5 stars for this product, because the first purchase that i made, had really sold me on this brand. I found the first order to be of high quality. It was smooth, blended well and mildly flavorful. however the second purchase was not quite the same quality. It was definitely a lower quality batch, the second time around, it had slight bitter aftertaste and a little chalky. I am not a novice matcha drinker, I know how to wisk the traditional way and I alway strain the powder before mixing to reduce clumping, and I am aware of the optimal water temperature for mixing. I am debating on whether or not to purchase it a third time or to try another high quality brand.

good amount for the price and has a nice bright green color, but i find this matcha to be a little bitter and grainy. i’ve been having to add a little sugar in addition to the flavor syrup i use to get rid of some of the bitterness. i also have not been able to get rid of the powdery/grainy texture. i sift, use hot water, and whisk with a bamboo whisk (abt 2 mins) but it still has that unpleasant texture

Really love this Matcha and is a good price buying it by the pound. Was turned on to this a few years ago and have been drinking it daily ever since. Normally I drink it cold, shake it up on a Blender Bottle. It's a nice bright green color and the taste is so smooth, and slightly nutty. It's so different from regular green tea. I've tried lower grade Matcha but always come back to Ceremonial grade and Jade Leaf is the best.
