Great stand for portable monitors!
I recently got a portable AOC USB monitor for my laptop, and I wanted to get a stand to use with the setup. The Elevate Stand was the only stand I could find that is designed for portable monitors. Luckily, it works great. The kit comes well-packed and super simple to put together. I don't like assembling things, but I pieced everything together in a few seconds, without reading the instruction. :)The metal is sturdy and of high quality. The stand places the monitor at eye-level above the laptop. There's a top latch that locks the monitor in place, so the monitor doesn't fall off the stand. If you're using Windows, use the Display Settings to put the monitor above your laptop display, so you can move the mouse cursor easily between the 2 screens.Note for travelers: The stand is on the slightly heavier side. It's not super heavy, but enough to make you think twice about traveling with it. On the plus side, its weight is due to its high-quality construction. Not a deal-breaker, just keep this in mind.Overall this is a great addition if you are using a laptop and USB monitor, especially for a home office setup. Hope this review helps!

Great Product!
After using this stand for a couple months, I am very satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend this to anyone looking for a laptop stand. At the office, I use 2 AOC usb-powered monitors along with my 17" laptop so after a lot of research, I decided to try this one out. The concept of the product is very simple and very well executed. Setup is very easy that you don't even have to read the 3 step instructions. The material is not flimsy plastic. It is very light weight yet sturdy aluminum so even if I remove my heavy laptop, the stand does not tip over. The top channel that holds the monitor has a rubber grip and is fairly deep so the monitor sits comfortably and is adjustable. My monitor plugs in easily through the back opening. Not having to move my head side to side anymore to look at my monitors is a BIG plus and helps with my posture. Also, the amount of space I save on my desk is incredible. I don't take this with me when I travel but maybe you could? I already carry a lot when I go on fieldwork so I like to leave this at home/office.Recommend!

Putting it together was so easy also, since it comes with a step by ...
What a satisfying design! When I took it out of the amazon box, I was already impressed with the simplicity of the design and the aesthetic. Opening it up was also so satisfying!Putting it together was so easy also, since it comes with a step by step pictographic instruction slip. The stand fits most standard monitors, and definitely frees up a lot of space for my workstation. I absolutely love having two monitors, and it's definitely a different take on the standard side by side view. I love how it opens up my work area and the way it looks is definitely worth it.Thanks!

It works
I was looking for a sturdy stand that would raise my surface tablet to a more ergonomic viewing position. A lot of the other stands I saw being offered on amazon had bad reviews complaining about plastic clamps that would snap under load. This stand seemed to fit the bill as far as what I was looking for as it is constructed mostly out of metal with few plastic pieces. I was concerned my tablet might be too heavy for the stand and that it would tip over, but with my tablet secured and pushing back on it with my hand the stand will want to slide backward before it ever tips over -very sturdy. I am able to position my tablet at various viewing angles which is nice and unexpected. I saw some reviews complaining about broken/damaged pieces so I was a little concerned about ordering this but mine came in good condition and in very smart looking packaging -something akin to what you'd see fancy electronics boxed in. All in all I've been more than pleased with the quality of this product.

Too heavy for travel. Packaging had better build quality than the actual stand, shame.
Really disappointed in this item. I'm loosely based out of Europe and travel extensively so on a recent trip to USA I was excited to order this stand that I'd had my eye on for a few months. Up until then, I'd been using a cardboard cutout that I built myself from scraps (I wish I'd kept it). If you're going to sell 4 pieces of aluminum for $89 you better make sure it's built right.Few issues on the one I received: - Slot on nylon sleeve was too small for the back brace. Had to "force" top support in. When trying to disassemble it pulled the nylon off the stand showing glue underneath.- Rubber feet and dampers are moving around after first use. Not a huge issue but no doubt they will be falling off soon during travel and it will cause everything to be uneven.- Base plat "wobbles" on a flat surface, it's somehow warped.Irritations:- The plate to hold the bottom of the screen is too high for both a 13" and 15" macbook leaving me to cut this down myself (as have other people that bought this item).- The extra height to my laptop on the table makes it uncomfortable/awkward for me to type.- The stand is REALLY heavy, like carrying a second laptop in my bag. This makes no sense, if you're building a stand for portable screens, make the stand portable also!I really wanted to like this product. If I had not already thrown away the (way-too-fancy) box I would have shipped it back before I returned to Europe. Will be trying to sell on eBay locally for a fraction of what I paid for it.I feel like they're on the right track, but still have some design/quality issues to iron out. My advice: scrap the fancy box and focus on solving the above issues.

Works well, a bit too tall for 15" laptop
Love this stand to create a temporary workstation in our house for the 1x per week my husband and I work from home. Easy to setup and to store. Finding the stand positions my 16" portable monitor about 4" too high. I have a 15" laptop below and want the screens to be closely positioned, so will likely have the aluminum vertical piece cut down or have a second mounting hole cut in lower on the vertical to allow the monitor bottom tray to mount lower.
