Those that have studied and are currently attending a church that embraces the five- fold ministry are in a place to see the glory of the new covenant prove to be greater than anything experienced under the old covenant. Rick Joyner's book The Apostolic Ministry has much to say about the church age and where it is heading. Ministers, church leaders, and radical laymen- this book is definitely for you!!Joyner says that the apostolic ministry will first have to be restored before the other five fold ministries can take their place and grow in full stature. This Gospel and age will not come in words alone but in power with the demonstration of signs, healings, and wonders occurring. Our expectations for church life, he believes, must be raised as this is going to be a last day book of Acts experience that will exceed what was experienced in the first century.You will gleam truths from a section devoted to explaining characteristics of what a true apostle is and also be warned of those that emerge and have emerged on the scene that seek to self appoint themselves and allow the organization to center around them. To those people who are hungry and thirst to know more. Rick's books have really inspired me and changed my mentality on so many things. I never want to put his books down. So rich and fundamental.This book definitely opened my eyes towards more of things to come. To what God is doing. To the investment in kids and the next generation. And I really liked how he described the testimonies of the apostles who were martyred. How they were martyred like some full of joy and no pain. And the fact that people who sent them to their deaths ended up accepting Christ.
