Convenient gainy headphone amp for electric guitar
This headphone amp goes from slightly crunchy to full out distortion for your practice on the road or at home. I have a Pro-Series Traveler, which I specifically chose so I wouldn't need power to practice with it on the road. However, as another reviewer stated, using the stethophone for long periods of time hurts your ears (maybe not for smaller heads). In my case, after pulling it wider many times, I can now play about 45 minutes or so before I need to stop. To take my Traveler on vacation instead of a business trip, I needed to be able to play longer than 45 minutes at a time. This fit the bill perfectly - I can play for hours. As a bonus, when my amp recently went in the shop, I was able to use this on my full size guitar to get me through. I also love the fact it has a rechargeable battery. Be aware that there is basically no clean tone with this. Even at the lowest gain, unless you pull the guitar volume back quite a bit, it will still have a little crunch. If you mostly play clean, there is a separate "acoustic" version. I have not suffered delay as someone else noted, nor any fit issues. Some reviewers complain about the sound; this has a very serviceable sound at tremendous convenience for a very low price. It's plenty adequate to practice.

Great option for easy electric guitar headphone amp. Great fof traveling.
Amazing little gadget! Easy to use and perfect for practicing electric guitar without disturbing my wife and neighbors. It has many adjustments for distortion and reverb. Rock out with this product!

Survives the Washing machine
Ive had this for many years and it has always served me well! Charges quickly and holds a charge for a long time. Super small so it's easy to travel around with and you can literally just plug and play! Has clean and dirty sounds and an aux chord input so you can plug your phone in and play along to anything! I decided to finally write a review for it now because I accidentally ran it through the wash and it STILL WORKS. Truly a powerful and well made product. 10/10

Best in Class: Solid Build, Low background Noise
My expectations are pretty low for these cheap devices. Here's what I'm hoping for in a good guitar headphone amp: simple features, usb charge, solid build, low background noise, and auxiliary input in (for connecting bluetooth receiver). The Traveler is now my favorite, no-drama solution. It delivers what it promises and deserves your consideration. I've got a lot of broken VOX units around the house and recently got disgusted with the brand after two broke within a month of average use. No more. In my experience, the Traveler is best in class. But in general, I'm puzzled why manufacturers aren't treating these devices seriously. They just don't seem to understand me as a consumer. I would pay more for a better quality unit. I DON'T actually want headphone amps to try offer a range of tones and simulate high-end equipment (always poorly). I have actual amps for that. I'm not looking for a substitute. If I'm using one of these devices, I'm trying to focus on the fundamentals without distractions. Manufacturers should too. The perfect, dream device (which I have not found yet) would feature: - Solid metal build for absolute durability - few moving parts - small, low profile (when plugged in to guitar) - volume control, on/off switch. That's about it. - switches and dials designed to avoid accidental changes (bumping, etc.) - built-in BLUETOOTH receiver!!!! - well positioned headphone jack (an easy-release solution would be ideal, in case headphone cord gets jerked out) - usb enabled charge; long battery life If a device like that comes along, I'll be first in line to sign up. Let me know. In the meantime, The Traveler is probably as good as it gets for my needs.

meh, cheap and flimsy
it works. it amplifies. but there is no joy in the sound. the knobs are flimsy and the sound thin. not fun at all. got a blackstar from another site and that one is amazing in sound, effects and controls (albeit still a bit flimsy too so I am babying it). that one I now jam on every night.

Great for the price
Works great for what its for. Sound quality is definitely acceptable and is perfect when you want to play without disturbing others. The input aux sound quality is pretty low but thats not surprising.

Awesome quiet practice tool…with character!
This is a workhorse of an headphone amplifier. With she three simple controls, it can go from clean with a bit of breakup to full-out distortion. Coupled with a quality pair of headphones (I use gaming headphones with a volume control), this is a great tool to crank your guitar without annoying neighbors, spouses, and pets. Though I fully believe in the adage, “if we’re too loud, you’re too old”, I can also respect the fact that some people, maybe most people, don’t want to hear me play (yet!). I can’t speak to its longevity but, so far, I’m really enjoying the simple versatility and usefulness of this headphone amp. Thanks!

Awful hiss and sound
This has to be the worst headphone amp I’ve encountered. This makes AM radio sound sensational. The sound output is a mixture of hiss and lifeless dull sound. I am extremely happy to be able to return it.

The ¼ inch plug was bent on arrival. The headphone jack was intermittent. Returned for refund.

I bought one of these when I was deciding on what kind of actual amplifier to get for my new electric guitar. You plug it in, you plug your earphones into it, and you are off to the races. Sounds great if you have a decent set of headphones.

La pila recargable es una gran ventaja. Es compacto y suena bien aunque tiene algo de ruido, por eso no le doy 5 estrellas.

Pros: easy to use, rechargeable battery and cable included, sounds good enough for practice, great if you stand to practice since no other cables but the headphones. Cons: older style USB charging cable/input , control labels are small & hard to read with old eyes Conclusion: great purchase, recommended
