Super strong-easy to modify-holds tile well
I bought two of these Schluter curbs for a 7 foot custom shower. I trimmed 4 inches off the whole length of the curb to minimize step in height which worked great. The shower is so big I only needed glass for half of the length - hence the step down. I joined the curbs with Schluter Kerdi wrap and thinset them in place. Tiled them up - looks great. I also bought the Schluter niche, inside corners, Kerdi wrap, Schluter All-set thinset and corner seat. Amazing products from Schluter. I would HIGHLY recommend using the Schluter "all-set" thinset to attach all the Schluter products, and hang the Kerdi felt on the walls, as well as mount all the tile. That stuff is much better than Mapei thinset. If you're a DIYer, don't fight the cheap unmodified thinset at the big box store - Use the All Set thinset it's totally worth it.

To cut the KERDI-BOARD-SC use a very sharp hand saw and cut along lines on the top and sides of the curb.
I liked the KERDI-BOARD-SC curb because it does not need to be wrapped in Kerdi membrane as it is already waterproof. It does need inside and outside corners applied just like the other curb and if you need to extend it, as I did, then you have to wrap the seam in Kerdi band for waterpoofing just like the other curb.
