Fat soluble
I’ve been using this product for a few years now because of the quality and simplicity of the ingredients. Recently, I have been using it to help repair a shoulder injury with a diet of ground beef, curry, eggs, rice and raw milk. It has been extremely beneficial in strengthening the damaged tissues. As a long-time user, I hope that pointing out my experiences would be helpful. When I use this bone broth powder, I avoid dissolving it in any solution that does not contain fat of some kind, preferably butter or beef tallow. It seems that the powder readily dissolves in animal fat but has significant difficulty dissolving in water, requiring emulsion and other mechanical agitation. The best way I have found to do this is to toss the powder in with ground beef. This can even be done right before you apply the heat while the ground beef is still raw. It dissolves with very minor effort this way. It makes it taste better and more hearty too IMO. For this reason, I suggest adding it to cooking, especially with ground meats (I suppose lamb and pork might work just as well). Another way is to add it to a pan with water on a low heat with some fat. This takes much longer but can be done. If I were to guess why it dissolves faster with fat, I would guess that it’s because bone broth is inherently fat soluble.

One Single Quality Ingredient; One Singular Delicious Taste!
For the past two to three years, I have bought liquid bone broth in jars and cartons, most of which have had numerous added ingredients such as apple cider vinegar, numerous spices, and even sugar. So, I simply tried to always go with those with the fewest, healthiest, added ingredients -- but even their ingredient lists read like a novel, and the prices were ridiculous. So, I was floored when I discovered that bone broth powder was an option. And as with the liquid varieties, many of them have all kinds of extra additives and ingredients. Then, I found Left Coast Bone Broth Powder...The "ingredients" are: grass fed beef bone broth protein powder. Full stop. And no, they don't even add salt! So, despite there being a smaller option, I ordered the 2-lb size. The main reason I'd been looking for an affordable, "clean" bone broth option was because I break my water fasts with bone broth. Then, while following a carnivore style diet, I discovered that coffee, tea (herbal or not), and caffeine, in general, no longer worked for me. This discovery led me to discover that I was even more addicted to starting my days with a hot drink than with caffeine! In the reviews summary, there are complaints about the price of this bone broth powder and its "foaminess." Neither of these issues present problems for me. Though admittedly, the price is a bit steep for my budget, the cleanness and quality of this product are worth it to me. Additionally, it has a subtle beef flavor that I absolutely love! And it doesn't hurt that it's brown in color either. So, I mix one scoop of powder with some sea salt in about 14 oz of hot water and I no longer miss my coffee or tea. And to me, this tastes better than the broth in jars and cartons with all their unnecessary additives, e.g., excessive spices, and even sugar. So, yes, while this powder does "clump," even in hot water, using a hand frother, at low speed, is the solution. Though no specific instructions are provided, I add one scoop of bone broth powder with sea salt to about 14 oz of hot water, added about 2-3 oz at a time. This is literally my morning drink, and I'm just not interested in adding it to stews or anything else -- but that, too, is an option. Finally, while this doesn't simply melt into even hot water, and it takes a little extra time to mix, I definitely enjoy feeling like one bad, bone broth barista in the preparation! This is a clean protein source. It provides ample collagen. It's good for the gut, and helps to keep your joints juiced, which is extremely important for seniors! Add to all this the warm subtle beef flavor... I couldn't ask for anything more!

Decent Broth Powder
I fast often, both for biblical and appetite control purposes. I wanted a broth powder that’s simple and goes down easy during a fast or when coming off a fast. Though, this broth doesn’t melt well not even in boiled water. I’m not sure how others get it melted in. It’s also primarily flavorless, definitely add chicken bouillon with some electrolytes. I’m not sure if I would buy again because of the poor dissolvability. Also, this isn’t the kind of powder that provides energy. I never used it for that just to break a fast or during one. Note: it does come with a scoop. It’s probably just buried in the powder.

Mix it with miso for better taste
Ive been drinking a cup of this nightly for a year now and I love it. The base taste is yuk, but I mix in some miso paste to blend a kind-of high protein miso soup and its very good that way. Just a hot tip if the comments about taste put you off! Its not as "yum" on its own, but its not so bad that you cant over-power it.

Awesome Product! Great for Smoothies!
I just purchased my third tub of this so I thought that it's about time I leave a review for this awesome product! I have tried other bone broth powders and this is by far the best. With the other bone broth powders, I could taste it in my smoothies which made them really hard to stomach. But with this powder, I can't even taste it in my smoothies! It does make the smoothies more creamy in a sense, but honestly I prefer that over having a slushy, watered-down consistency you would get without using this in smoothies. I decided to switch to bone broth powder after having digestive problems while consuming whey protein. As someone that is trying to increase their protein intake, I wanted to find an alternative to whey protein that offered a high amount of protein but was easier on my stomach, and this fits the bill! The collagen is also an added bonus of bone broth powder. The first time I purchased this product, I got the 1lb tub just to make sure that I would like it before I paid more for the 2lb tub, and I would suggest you do the same (even though it is more expensive per pound), and then if you like it (which you most likely will!) then you can get the 2lb tub which gives you more bang for your buck. There are some reviews saying that this bone broth powder does not blend well, but I have never had such problems. I only use it in smoothies, and I have made my smoothies in both a Magic Bullet and Vitamix blender, and I have never had problems with it not mixing well when using those two blenders. I haven't tried adding it to coffee, tea, or hot water only, so I can't comment on that. Also, while it may seem pretty expensive, it's really not that bad compared to other bone broth powders on the market. I did a lot of research to find a high-quality bone broth powder that didn't cost a fortune, and this is by far the best quality and value that you can find on Amazon in my opinion. Very happy with this product, and I will definitely be buying this product for years to come.

This foams and is beefy 🤢
I want to like this product. Taste is mild but it has a beefy taste and smell. I have tried to drink it by its self and mix it with other things, but I just cant do it. Kind of has a creamy flavor. Has little to no texture and is not thick. First off it foams! Like super foam. It is very hard to mix or blend. It almost refuses to blend. Little beads of the protein are in the foam and are difficult to dissolve. The picture below is of my shaker cup after 35 minutes of sitting. You can see the beads of protein powder. If you shake it to mix the beads of protein powder you get more foam you have to wait longer because you can barely drink the the shake. Even if you mix it slowly it clumps. The last picture is me reshaking it to mix the protein beads. It does state that it foams on the package, but I did not expect it to foam this bad. I have tried mixing it with other things to hide the taste and smell but it doesn't work. I can’t bring myself to eat/drink this. Maybe if I got a flavored version it would be better, not sure. But I am definitely not spending another $30 to find out! I am going to chalk this up as a learning lesson loss. 🙅🏻♀️

Difficult to mix, clumps alot
Purchased as a replacement for whey protein due to the fact that it gives me stomach problems. This product seemed like a perfect replacement! However I’m having a hard time finding ways to blend or mix. -used it in a smoothie of foamed up completely -used it in a shaker with electrolytes foamed up -used it in cold almond milk clumped up wouldn’t break down So the best way that I’ve learned is whisking in boiled or hot almond milk and then adding that to my hot coffee. I have yet to try in a soup as it seems the liquid needs to be hot in order for it to dissolve fully. Altogether, very thick, doesn’t dissolve easily, no stomach issues so far.

Very quick change improving my skin.
I laugh at the one star reviews so far I've seen. Overly picky perfection seeking unfair reviews criticizing tiny little things I couldn't care less about. I'm interested in results not timing of delivery, the attitude of the driver lol. After just 2 weeks I saw my skin change dramatically and could not believe I achieved such fast results. No supplemental health product I have ever used has given me such fast Improvement. Completely amazing.

Llevo poco tiempo tomándolo, no huele a nada
Llego a tiempo y bien.pero si tiene un sabor , digamos particular que no logro esconder con ninguna fruta o algo, me siento satisfecha, no me inflama como a alguien que conozco, quizás por que lo preparo desde la noche anterior.
