I have very dry, aging skin that also gets dehydrated very easily and tends to become rough. I have sustained of lot of damage due to unprotected exposure to the sun over the years, and my skin is also quite sensitive. It can be difficult to find something that will work well on my skin as well as with other skin care products I use, but won't contribute to redness or irritation. So, I go through a lot of trial and error...I have had good luck with products containing Centella asiatica. I usually layer several serums after applying a toner and before adding a cream. I find this serum very effective and it targets several of the issues I am most concerned with so I feel as if I can cut down on the use some of the other other serums, at least the ones I apply all at the same time in the morning. I've been using this for a couple of weeks and this serum really does make a difference in smoothing the roughness of my skin and helping to minimize some of the lines, especially the ones on my forehead and around my mouth. For some reason, it has less of an effect on the crow's feet around my eyes; maybe they have just been there longer. I use this as part of my daytime routine and it feels nice on my cleansed and toned skin and I like the subtle fragrance. It is packed in a rigid bottle that looks a bit like glass but is plastic; it has a dropper style delivery system for no waste. A little goes a long way, even with my dry skin that just soaks this right up. At $33.99, the current price is a bit higher than the serums I typically use, but if it can take the place of two or more, that will be a savings. I don't really notice any improvement in the texture of my skin or any brightening but I am otherwise pleased with the product so far.

I've been using this and find myself not wanting to put it back on. The formula is pretty sticky and I don't find it absorbing into my skin very easily. It doesn't irritate my skin which is a plus but the overall consistency is lacking. I'm assuming the stickyness comes from the Vitamin E? I have tried putting drops on my palm and adding it to my moisturizer but I still get the same effect. I end up washing it off after an hour or so because I can't get it to absorb, even after a night's sleep with it. I use Hyaluronic Acid with great success but was hoping this would provide not only moisture but help with a few slightly discolored areas on my skin that I'm hoping to lighten up. Overall, this isn't the product for me

Does not spread very easily for me, and there are a lot of other options out there that I've tried with better results. Nonirritating, with a pleasant light scent. The price is very reasonable with quality ingredients.

The Madeca derma brightening serum is advertised as able to "fade dark spots and brighten skin tone in 5 days". My wife tried this for two weeks daily in a row (14 days), and did not find any difference in the appearance of her skin tone, and it did not noticeably lighten dark spots. Other products she had tried have worked better, faster. This one doesn't seem to live up to the claims on the product page description.
