It’s sturdy and wide enough to span our front hallway, so it effectively blocks their access to the door when we have company or need to leave the house. I bought this gate to stop my cunning dog from breaking into the kitchen. So far, so good. It's relatively easy to assemble, sturdy and tall enough for a medium sized dog not to jump over it.

It's the best baby gate I've installed, as it is solid and works perfectly. You just need to set it up correctly - make sure it is firmly in place, and then snip the zip ties. But if you screw up and need to re-set it (after snipping the zip ties), you'll quickly see that the gate will need to be fastened back as it was... but this is best done with a clamp - easy done. You can use the spare zip ties they provided to hold it fastened, or simply leave the clamps on as you set the whole unit in place.
