I am someone who loses focus easily when reading so it usually takes a while to finish a book but I finished this book in about 2 days. I am from the US so I never really heard of McFly growing up but several months ago I discovered their music and fell in love. I had seen Tom Fletcher's viral videos before online but never looked into the band much until I was rewatching the Wedding Speech a couple months ago and was in tears because of how sweet it is. I decided to look up the band and then discovered their music. I had about 10+ years to catch up on so I bought a bunch of their songs, watched old videos and learned as much as I could. This book was the icing on the cake, it filled in all the gaps and then some! It is so well written, I was laughing and crying, and dreading getting to the end of the book because I didn't want it to be over (I really hope in a few more years they write another book of some sort). And I must say McFly has probably the most incredible story of how the band was formed. I really didn't have high expectations, thought it would have just a couple of uninteresting facts...I couldn't be more wrong.After you read it, you get a feeling that the guys are really just like anyone else. They've had happy, funny, glamorous, dangerous and really really serious and sad moments in their lifetime as a band. It's amazing that they decided to share so much with everybody. That's what makes them so....unique...so....McFly!It makes you laugh, smile, cry and mainly, understand so much about McFly and the decisions they made throughout their carreer.It is also great that the whole book is narrated by them.
