DVI dual link active adapter on a budget, works with 1440p QNIX 2710, excellent customer service from Monoprice
I have several 27 inch 1440p korean monitors, all of which require dvi dual link. When I upgraded my graphics card it came with only one dvi dual link port and several display ports. I thought since they were all digital display standards a simple adapter would do the trick but apparently 1440p and above requires an active adapter that would normally run you $80 to $100 and looks much bulkier. So I was hesitant when I tried out this cheap alternative from monoprice. It worked... but with lots of flicker lines that made it unuseable. I tried three different 1440p monitors (two of them QNIX 2710) with three different dvi dual link cables (all the cables came with the korean monitors), and all of them had flicker lines. Since I tried three different cables I naturally assumed the problem was with the monoprice adapter. When I tried to return the cable, Monoprice let me keep it and gave me a full refund.A few weeks later, I bought a gold plated Cable Matters dvi dual link cable on a whim after realizing the flicker lines would improve if I wiggle the connector at an angle. And what do you know, no more flicker lines.

Worked, kinda - until it didn't
Adapter worked fine for the first month. After that, occasionally it wouldn't work. Screen would remain black and monitor in power saving mode, even though Windows would recognize there was a monitor. Unplugging and replugging the adapter would get it back working. Now at 10 months it doesn't work at all. Windows still recognizes a monitor is plugged in, but screen remains black in power saving mode. No amount of unplugging or power cycling fixes it.

Worked for me 2560x1600 at 60hertz, 35 foot dvi cable
Yess! I had to connect my dell 30 inch 2560 by 1600p monitor across the room. Only issue was it’s hdmi spec was crazy low, like 1.1, 1.2 or something crazy.I knew DisplayPort cables were out since they don’t make 35 feet ones unless you use expensive adapters over Ethernet which may or may not introduce latency, and not work well with windows sleep functions with many cheaper ones. I knew hdmi was out since the monitor didn’t support the full resolution through it. Only option was duel link dvi.Guess what my gtx 1080ti doesn’t even come with dvi any more. I used the “duel link” dvi to displayport adapter the card came with, and nothing....I used this monoprice adapter, and low and behold I get the 2560 by 1600 at 60hertz without a hitch or any lag. The 35 foot dvi cable I used was a crazy thiccck gauge one from mono price; 35 feet.In terms of performance of the adapter I see no issues with sleep functions, or lag, I’ve games on it casually kingdom come deliverance, and did not notice any latency more then if I was connected straight to display port.

Does not support 2560x1600.
I bought this in hopes that I can connect my work laptop to my old 30" monitor. My laptop has a usb-c and hdmi only. The usb-c connects to a lenovo dock (gen 2). This adapter connect it to displayport of the dock to dvi-d (dual link) cable. It kind of show the screen but flickers in and out. after 10-15 minutes there is no picture at all on the monitor. I had to return it for a refund as it does not support 2560x1600 resolution even though their description says it does.

Didn't work for me.
I was hopeful that this would work with my older 25" 1440p monitor that only has a Dual Link DVI port. Didn't work when I plugged it in. Switched around to a different DisplayPort and adjusted the connectors, and I got it to display a picture. However, the picture would still rotate from working to blanking, and when it did work it had lines across the screen. Even tried using a single link cable, but no dice.It did seem like a decent quality item, but it just didn't work for me.

Works @ 2560x1440 60hz with Dell E5430 laptop on Dell PRO3X docking station with BenQ GW2765 monitor
Works for me at 2560x1440 60hz. Dell E5430 laptop > Dell PRO3X docking station DP1.2 output > 6ft. DVI-D cable > Trendnet TK-222DVK DVI-D KVM switch > 6ft. DVI-D cable > DVI-D input of BenQ GW2765. Only problem is with this setup it takes a little while for the picture to show up after first connecting it and then each time I switch the KVM. Takes anywhere from 15-30 seconds for the picture to show up. Tried connecting it without the KVM switch and it still takes ~10-15 seconds for the picture to show up. Once the picture shows up it works fine. Not sure if that is the laptop, docking station, or the monoprice adapter, but it's some combination of the 3.Also tested it a Plugable UGA-4KDP USB3.0-to-DisplayPort1.2 adapter connected to the docking station USB3.0. It works exactly the same way as described above.Only had it 1 day so we'll see how long it lasts, if it dies I'll update the review.

Poor quality. Visual artifacts at 1440p.
The media could not be loaded. The adapter is not working correctly. I have plugged it into a brand new RTX 3080 DisplayPort 1.4a port, to a 15 foot shielded DVI-D cable, to a Samsung 2560x1440 60hz DVI-D port, and the entire screen is showing blue flashing artifacts at native resolution. This only happens at 1440p. If I change to 1080p, the blue flashing lines and dots go away. I am using Windows 10 the with latest NVIDIA drivers. This happens in ALL 3 DP ports on my GPU.There seems to be a problem with this adapter. Perhaps it's not a true active (powered?) adapter as marketed, or perhaps the quality of the components is very poor.I would like a refund.

Works with korean monitor QX2710LED 2K
I bought this specifically for this monitor. It works well right out of the box with 1440p resolution at 60Hz..My monitor is the one with only Dual Link DVI port. For those people who say it doesnt you might need a higher version of display port.I tried this directly on my laptop( Lenovo T440s) using mini Display Port > this adapter > monitor and it works.I tried this using a Diamond dual 5k monitor USB docking station and it works well as well.

it works Dell U3011
It works on my Dell U3011. I bought this because I was having display issues on my U3011 using display port and wanted to go back to dvi dual link and sure enough it fixed the issue. Mileage may vary depending on your model of monitor.

Works, including at 2048x1152 60Hz
I admit I was sceptical that this would be a true Active adapter, given the small size, low price, and lack of external power connector. However, I tested it on my Samsung 2343 monitor and got a perfect image at 2048x1152 at 60Hz, so I was very pleasantly surprised. It's small, it's inexpensive, it doesn't require an additional USB or power connector, and it works.

inservible para monitores HPLP3065
Si quieres conectar monitores 2K que necesiten cables "duales" olvídalo por que este conector NO te servirá
