I love the organization and the feel that makes you just want to read it. The illustrations and the explanations are top notch. What I love most about the book is the chapter summary that is located at the end of each chapter. It is very helpful as you easily grab all the important information from a single page or 2. Its a great way to help you remember things, should yo want to go back and look for a certain important information. Review: Easy to understand - Great basic overview and introduction to rain water harvesting. I am a beginner and this was just right for me to get started.

Great Book on Rainwater Harvesting
Great book! I was excited to come across this book. I've been wanted to harvest rainwater but have been very unsure about how to go about it. This book answered all my questions! Covers everything from financial factors, designs, maintenance, degradation of the water, etc. Simple, practical and well written. Highly recommend!

Good info.
Very nice info. The sad part is that in a lot of states now you can not save water. Thats right so check your laws and work around them to be able to keep your free water that no one should be able to have rights over.

too basic
The information in this very short book is too basic to be of much use in designing a system. "The Texas Manual on Rainwater Harvesting" is slightly better, and free.

Save your money for something better
Very basic and almost common sense information inside. Aside from a few formulas for calculations (which I am sure could be found for free elsewhere on the internet) the book was a waste of time. It irks me that I wasted three dollars on it. Not a single diagram or picture to explain anything...33 pages...I wouldn't even consider it a book, more of an article that embarrassingly repeats information as it struggles to create content and justify its existence. I really have no clue what the other reviewers were thinking unless they are friends of the author.

An interesting read. My garden will thank me for it!

To technical not made for diy home gardener water preserving. Good for plumbers. It should say it’s for people who are technical and more scientific. Not for a person who wants to save rainwater for a garden.

I can only imagine the author has paid his family to write positive reviews for this "thick leaflet" as it is by no means a book with only 49 A5 size pages. The pictures/diagrams look like they have been taken from a 1980's clip art gallery and the information is EXTREMELY basic. This is a book for an alien who has just landed on the planet and wanted a summary of what rain water harvesting was about. It has not even been proof read properly with very basic mistakes in it. This rubbish raises more questions than it answers.
