Contoured, flexible support. Walkers, runners and runners looking for extra comfort and cushioning. Consumers who want targeted shock absorption for rear foot impact. Spenco Polysorb Walker/Runner, Men 12 13 Review: Outstanding inserts. Anti fatigue, anti shock - I own two pair of these. One pair for my work boots (12 hour factory shifts) and the other pair in my running shoes. These things really help eliminate the foot pain that comes from shock or from being on my feet for too long. They are a vast improvement over the old "green" walker/runner. This cradles my foot and gives me lots of support and cushioning. With a better platform to stand on I actually feel better overall. It's like an infusion of new life into my feet. (A very small but noticeable effect). I am over 50 so I need every bit of help I can get. My feet are also less tired and there is a minor reduction in knee pain. These things are thick. The heel is 7.5mm [0.30"] and the forefoot is 6.8mm [0.27"]. That is only a heel to toe drop of about 1mm, which I like. I think most people will have trouble getting a good fit in their shoes because it takes up so much space. I have no trouble with my work boots but my Asics are a tight fit and I have to wear thinner socks. My foot is fairly thin with a medium low arch. I also have a new pair of the Spenco Cross Trainer. The Cross Trainer has a very tall and narrow heel that makes the whole shoe unstable. Very easy to turn your ankle with that insert. (which I did) The heel is a full 13.21mm [1/2"] tall and the forefoot is 5.5mm [1/4"]. Too much heel to toe drop in the cross trainer for me. The Walker Runner is much more comfortable and stable to use. This is my tenth year using Spenco inserts and I like these the best by far. Oct. 2015 I am on my 3rd pair of these and I still love them. In my work boots their estimated life is about a year. They are so thick that they take up all the head room in the toe box of all my other shoes. So much so that I only use them for the work boots. Review: Spenco Polysorb Walker/Runner Athletic Insole Men's 12-13.5 - The Spenco Polysorb Walker/Runner Athletic Insole fits my Merrill Moab 2 boots, but didn't feel right in my new Moab 3s.

Affordable high performance insoles for any footwear
Spenco Polysorb Walker/Runner I have finally found a set of insoles that have thicker padding underneath the forefeet (balls of the feet). Almost all insoles sold at stores are paper thin in that area. The Walker/Runner reviews seem to indicate they are the thickest overall except at the heel cup, which is fine for me since I have issues with finding shoes that fit properly. I originally purchased these for my Shimano M087G SPD cycling shoes, but opted to use them in my Alpinestars Supertech R motorcycle racing boots because even though the boots fit, there is still a lot of space in the forefeet area. It's hard to explain, but basically my feet are in-between US 11.5-12. If I go with 11.5, my right foot (largest foot) gets squashed but the left foot is fine. If I go with US 12, my right foot is fine and my left foot has a LOT of room in the front. Even then, the size US 12 footwear generally feels loose at the front. Thicker insoles will cure that problem but I have yet to find a set that do the job and are comfortable to wear for long periods of time. In the past, I have cannibalized the insoles from my worn out athletic sneakers. These Spenco insoles are sized US 12-13, which required me to trim to match US 12. I find this to be a hassle, since most competing insoles are sold as US 12 to allow trimming for smaller sizes. But trimming the Spenco wasn't too difficult, although I find that the red fabric tends to flake/come apart after trimming. The red fabric looks sharp, it is a shade of red that is similar to Ferrari and Ducati red, and matches most shoes without any problems. There is more than enough arch support, and the shock absorption is great. Overall: 5/5 stars, These insoles rock, I will get these again in the future if I need to replace insoles in my other footwear.

I've switched to these
I have tried lots of insoles over the years, and have had three pairs of custom made ones. Well, those are just too expensive. I have enjoyed another brand that is highly rated but cost twice as much. A shoe expert said I should try this specific model. I've now bought three (I own 6 pair of sneakers). They have a solid arch support that is firm but not stiff, and not too high. I have a low arch and some insoles feel like theirs a hump under your arch. So far, very good.
