Alessi Replacement Bird Whistle for 9093 Michael Graves Kettle

I purchased this hoping it would fit my 25+ year old All Clad tea kettle that had been discontinued and it fit perfectly. The holes on the whistle are a little larger than the original so the sound is not quite as loud but I am 100% pleased AND it is much cuter now!!!

This fits the Alessi teapot, works great and is very cute. But as others have stated, it does interfere with pouring the water out of the teapot. Not really necessary as you can hear the water boil without it. But if you are in another room having the whistle can be handy. You'd just have to remove the bird to pour out the hot water. I just leave mine off, but I am happy to have it in case I want my teapot to whistle.

The whistle was identical to the original. It fits perfectly and whistles as it should. Many kettles have the whistle connected to the spout. They eventually break and can't be replaced. This kettle is very well designed and made. The design of a replaceable whistle and the quality of the kettle mean that it can be fully functional for decades.

It just doesn’t work. So I bought another one and it didn’t work either. I have severe hearing loss so I need a loud whistle. It’s a very expensive lesson that I had to learn.

Ordered the replacement bird whistle on Amazon from Design and Grace. Ours had gone missing some time ago, and the teapot heats so quick, it almost boiled dry a few times before I caught it. I had looked online in the past for a replacement, but they were pretty expensive. The price on Amazon was very reasonable and the reviews looked good. I was a little nervous that it might be a cheap chinese knock-off, but I decided to go for it based on the reviews and pictures. It arrived very quickly, and is the genuine Alessi replacement part in factory bag. So nice to have it back in the kettle as before.

I love this product and hope to keep it as a backup for when things go off… I’m carefully using my bird whistle and my Michael Graves kettle… please respect my privacy now…It’s important I keep my products safe.Thank you in advance..Bonnie Hall

i have replaced my bird whistle twice and each time the bird is definitely not as good of a fit or as nice of a whistle as the original. it's difficult for me to remember when i take the whistle out, to put in on the counter and not back on my glass stove top to partially melt. ales makes the most beautiful tea kettles but not the most functional whistle for me.

Good product does the job 👍 good deliverySome reviews says the whistle doesn’t work 🤔 the reason is that the lid is not fitted correctly so hence the steam comes through the lid.
