2X Rat Trap Killer Box - Easy to Set Safety Box for Home, Shed & Garage Control & Treatment (Professional Quality, Pack of 2)

Possibly due to adjacent road walks I have had an influx of mice/rats all around my shed and they appear to have also taken up residence in my neighbours garden. I brought a pack of 2 traps and am using crunchy peanut butter as bait. They seem sturdy and safe enough to use even though I have visiting hedgehogs. I received them yesterday evening and decided to bait and put them out immediately.Already I caught my first rat in less than 24 hours. While wearing gloves, you can remove trapped animal without touching it and the trap is so easy to reset. I followed advice and used a sticky bait so the bait cant be stolen. The red tag lets you know if the trap has fired so no unnecessary handling.I am also using bait boxes from the same supplier which are being visited nightly. I honestly believe using traps and bait boxes I can control i these pests without having to call in expensive pest control.

When receiving trap they are solid and easy to use. The box cover seems to make it safer, however I wouldn’t leave where your pet could manage to get a paw in as they may end up with a broken wrist.I was worried when I first put in my attic as it seemed like something had pulled insulation in from the attic, managed to have the bait and it didn’t go off 🫣I set the trap back up and have given it another go. Lo and behold, I got one!!! Very happy and hoping to get many more.I’m not sure how good it would be for larger rats

The trap itself is fine and just a bigger version of the standard mouse trap, however the tie wrap included which is used to reset trap when it is inside the box was next to useless. Both tie wraps snapped on second reset of the trap. Luckly I have my own tie wraps which are now in use.Also the box opening/lock key seems a bit weak to move the pins to allow the box to open

Sturdy trap in a substantial box, easy to set with a tell- tale red zip tie to let you know if it's been tripped, all good. Less happy with the method of opening the box, a little key with 2 prongs so if you misplaced it you're stuck. Sure I used to have a similar trap with a twist catch that I operated with a standard screwdriver which was equally child & pet proof.

This is the perfect rat killer. Add a little cheese and wait ‘til morning!Be very careful when loading, it really has a strong spring, but for the job of removing vermin it is perfect. The red key to open the boxes could be stronger!

Looking at my Amazon purchase history , I bought these on the 23rd July 24. Its now Oct 24 and not one rat caught. Baited with all sorts. I've tried peanut butter, Nutella, sunflower seeds but nothing. There are rats around. There is plenty of evidence. They are positioned outside along the wall of my shed so go figure!!. These traps look/feel sturdy with a heavy snap when triggered but it seems that the rats have figured them out and go nowhere near.

Haven't used this yet so can't say how good it is. The trap looks strong and should dispatch the offending rats.
